I bought this so that I could play UK DVDs and it does that admirably. Picture quality is great and CDs play well. I have not tried the other functions/capabilities. It has component video outputs if that is what you need for your home theater and digital co-ax for audio - my set-up could not take advantage of the HDMI.
The disc tray is pretty flimsy and seems to take a while to load and eject but those are minor issues for me. Don't lose the remote though as there are virtually no controls on the actual player.
All in all, excellent value for multi-region capability.

After living overseas for more than four years, and being fairly big movie watchers, we collected lots of foreign movies. It doesn't seem to matter what we put in this machine, it plays it and quickly too. The only thing I don't like is the remote, it seems cheaply made (maybe it's just the weight) and is white while the unit is sleek black. And no eject button. But the menu system is logical and clean. Overall, this was a good buy, glad we got it.Customer Review: DivX navigation is slow. Doesn't load some DivX movies

Overall a decent player. Works as advertised: plays PAL, NTSC, multi-zone.
A couple of negative points:
- DivX navigation is slow. It takes forever to fast forward, pause/resume.
- It doesn't load some DivX movies - just hangs up. The same movie works fine on a PC. Maybe it's something to do with the size: the movies were 2+ GByte.

I've been wanting to play my region 2 dvds on a dvd player seamlessly. I got this item because it's cheap and I didn't need bells and whistle. It does a good job playing dvds. The dvd tray responds a little slow and the remote just has the basics except an eject disc button.Customer Review: it does it all!

It's a DVD player that does it all. All-regions, multi-formats. And it's sleek and stylish. The only area that can use some improvement is the system could be more responsive. The tray open/close has a little lag.
