Customer Review: Clear-up what other reviews leave confusing

This product works for what I need it to do and I have not experienced any degradation in image quality. Many of the reviews complain about being unable to use different types of inputs with this switch. For my purposes I want to have all of my sources plugged in and be able to switch between them without moving cables and cords around. This switch allows for that. I can have composite devices on one input, component on another input, (and i'm assuming S-Video though I have not tried) and as long as I have the matching cord plugged in (e.g. composite, component, etc...) to the output of the switch and the input on my TV, then the device works. [also to do this, the TV must have the proper input selected and the appropriate input of the switch must be selected.] It works great for doing this!
I think that people who complained about not being able to use different types of inputs (e.g. composite, component, etc...) were only using one type of output (e.g. component only) and hoping for conversion. That is not the intended purpose of this device and such expectations will lead to disappointment. This device is great for plugging in devices with all sorts of connections to a TV with few inputs, in order to free up clutter of cords laying out and avoid damage from repeated exchange of inputs. It's a great find at a great price!!!
