The Philips PHDTV1 Silver Sensor UHF antenna was delivered to my home last night (8/18/2008).
I connect it to my Zenith DTT900 converter ( I bought it using a [...]$ coupon: https://www.dtv2009.gov/ )then to my old analog TV. I was so happy. It captured all digital TV stations from 2 to 62. The pictures were clear, crisp and 100% free of snow. I live at zip code 92656 and the broadcast stations are in Los Angeles, 47 miles away. The little antenna did a great job of pulling the signal out of the air.

This is a great antenna and the price is sure right. We hosted a superbowl party and brought a TV into the kitchen and connected it to this antenna, so no one would miss anything. The over the air picture on the Kitchen TV (a 52" 1080P LCD) was as good or better than the picture we got on an identical LCD connected to Fios HD in the living room. I also have this antenna connected to an analogue TV through an HD converter box. The picture has never looked better! Bottom line - this is a great antenna!Customer Review: Works better than expected!

Because of mixed reviews, the decision to purchase this antenna was a difficult one. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I decided to give it a try. I had purchased the Haier HLT71 7-Inch Portable LCD TV for use during power outages. I live fairly close-in Atlanta and am able to pick up 7 channels without the Silver Sensor, 13 with it. The channels that I could pick up without the antenna had some digital scrambling. That problem disappeared with the antenna. I am pleased.Customer Review: Phillips PHDTV1 Digital Antenna

I bought the antenna because I had gotten one of the digital to analog converter boxes. I had read that a regular tv antenna could work, and found that for some channels it did. I am far enough away from the transmitters that I needed a better antenna to get some stations. With this antenna I can pick up all the local stations and occasionally some that are on the fringe range.
The price is good and the product does what I needed so for me it was a good purchase.

After reading reviews on various HD antennas, I settle on the Philips PHDTV1. It was easy to assemble (no screws; everything snaps into place), and it fit easily on my TV. With the "rabbit ears", there were a couple of stations that I would only pick up sporadically. Once I started using the HDTV1, I received all of the digital stations and with improved signal strength. I would definitely recommend this for your TV if you are getting over the air transmissions!!
