This is a perfect match for ~40" LCD TVs. I have used it for my 37" LG LCD TV. I had bought one for twice the price from BestBuy (the cheapest one in their store); which turned out to be for a middle stud, so I had to return it and buy the Peerless from Amazon.com. It comes with all the possible screws for the wall and TV so you don't have to shop around. You have to connect it to two studs so if you have a middle stud this is not suitable for you. Also you might want to buy plastic washers to prevent the metallic washers included in the package from scratching the back of your LCD TV (just a suggestion).
Overall perfect price perfect product!

I needed a mount for my 26" Vizio LCD so I could mount it in the top of a canopy bed and it looks like I picked the right one. I was having trouble believing that this was a quality mount for the price, but when I opened it up and seen how nice it was I was in shock! Very nicely laid out with all of the hardware you need. Some people that gave this poor reviews were using larger televisions. This is a fairly small and lightweight mount. If I had anything bigger than a 32" to go on a wall, I would buy a larger mount. I think it is still strong enough for a larger tv, but personally, I would feel better with a larger mount.

This mount is great. It does exactly what you need it to do. One tip that I would have would be to swap the hex screws that go in from the bottom to secure the bars to the frame with other screws that are included. This woud be for any mount. There is a special hex wrench that you need to use to attach the origional screws. If you set the TV low on the mount the wrench is too short to tighten the screws.(Mostly my fault for mounting the TV low. The only way you would ever have this problem is if you are trying to mount a center channel speaker directly below the TV. if you're looking for a well made, secure, inexpensive wall mount, then this is an excellent choice. Price is about a third of what you'll find it for in the big retail stores. The mounting holes are spaced just right for installation into standard wall studs and the mounting hardware supplied is all you'll need. This bracket was used to mount a 37" LCD. I did not need a tilting type mount, just something low profile and substantial to give a good feeling of security. Beware, this mount does not fit Panasonic plasma TV's. The 37" TV I have (and I believe the 42", 50" and 58" models) has the mounting screw threads set at 26.5" apart which seems to be somewhat wider than the standard. This mount is only 19.2" wide, too short for the Panasonic span. I ended up returning it and buying the FP660 which is perfect. No complaints, but I do agree with others who have mentioned the locking screws... I didn't bother to tighten them and it seems fine to just hang there.
