Purchased to hang my LG 60inch Plasma 60PK550. This unit was very easy to mount and came with enough screws to rebuild the space shuttle. The parts are very solid and strong. The unit mounts VERY close to the wall.
The main bracket attaches to the wall with 4 very long sturdy lag bolts. Hardware is inlcuded to mount into a canrete or cinderblock wall as well. There are multiple holes and locations so finding something that fits the location of your wall studs should be simple. You'll of course need a level and stud finder for this. I tested the strength of the bracked by holding on and hanging myself from it and I could do a pull up. I'm about 200lbs so this thing can support plenty of weight.
Two rails are included that allow you to mount the TV a set distance from the wall. I found the thinner rail mounted the TV too close and my HDMI and component cables would touch the wall and be bent more than I would be comfortable with. You could easily recess the drywall or purchase angled cables to acount for this. The other rail was perfect. The TV sits out a about 1/2 further off the wall but the component cables have enough room. The TV is still very close to the wall. The two rails attach to the back of your TV via vesa mounts and the included screws or the screws already in the TV. These are big solid screws that mount into the metal support frame of the TV itself. You then hang the TV and tighten the hex screws with the included key to secure the tv. Using the thicker rail my TV is about 1.5 inches from the wall. The other thinner rail is about .5 inches thinner.
I was able to hang this wall mount and my tv with only the help of my girlfriend in less than 30 minutes. You'll need your own level, stud finder, drill, and drill bits to get it done. If you're even remotely handy with these tools you sould be watching your wall mounted TV in no time.
Check Peerless' website to be 100% sure that the wall mount you're purchasing will suppory your tv. They have a nice wizard on their site that lets you imput your tv model and it will tell you which products they offer that will work.
