I have not yet been able to perform the tests myself as of yet, but based on comments made both here and on other reputable sites, it's obvious this card is not compatible with the Canon T2i. the majority of comments praise this card, but nearly all negative comments against it stem from buyers who have used it with a Canon T2i.
additionally, it's not one of the cards in Canon's own compatibility list. Canon, like other camera manufacturers, test their cameras with currently available memory cards to ensure compatibility and print these results in their OWNERS MANUALS. if you looked through your owner's manual, you would not see this card listed. generally, one should stick to those cards prescribed by the manufacturer as having been tested, especially after spending as much as you have on a dSLR. you should do this even with cheap, consumer level cameras like the Canon T2i, to prevent discovering any incompatibility as some of you have between this card and the T2i.
is it the card manufacturer's fault? not necessarily as there are trade-offs made to fit a price point... in this case, certain trade-offs were made to keep this card cheap, resulting in it not working properly with the Canon T2i. had one checked the reviews prior to buying, they would know this since there are many people discovering this issue and being vocal about it... if you think you're a "victim," maybe you should have done a bit more research before buying, beyond looking at the price tag. just consulting the manual would have given you a list of accessories guaranteed to work with your camera.
maybe the manufacturer should have produced a card that met all current specifications to ensure 100% compatibility. had they done that, the price would of course be higher, but it would help keep buyers from having to do "impossible" things like "reading the manual" or "product research."
so yes, i'm blaming the consumer on this one. Patriot produced a product to meet a specific price point, thus resulting in certain compromises being made; in this case, it results in not being compatible with the Canon T2i, a popular camera due to its affordability. the camera too could be at fault, as its cheap price could have resulted in making it less tolerant of a wider range of memory cards. regardless, the consumer was given a list of compatible products yet it was ignored by a select few who are now negatively reviewing the card.
i guess some people need to have things read to them, whether they like it or not, as this seems to be the issue that prevents them from making good choices.
