Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of 3 FT Digital Audio Optical TOSLink Cable Optic 3ftCustomer Review: Snug fit, works fine Summary: 5 Stars
This cable works fine for me, with three different machines of varying ages. Make sure you remove the rubber tip protecting the connector before plugging in. Also, there is a little nubbin on the side that will keep the cable in place. If the cable is not secure, then you may need to push it in a little farther (GENTLY) until the cable is in all the way.
Also, note that the digital inputs are not oriented all the same way. You may need to rotate the plug 90 degrees for it to fit.
Great price and quick shipping.
Customer Review: Fiber is Fiber Summary: 5 Stars
I picked up two of these cables for my new Home Theater setup and as expected, I am very pleased. The sound quality through my Sony HTIB is incredible. As long as you are careful with the cable (i.e. No sharp bends) you should not have any issues. We actually use the same thickness of Optical cable in our Telecommunications equipment at my work and it is as reliable as you could imagine.
No reason for a thicker or more expensive cable. This does the job perfectly!!!
Customer Review: Awesome works great Summary: 5 Stars
This product is so cheap and does the job. This is not as fancy as other expensive optical audio cable and it uses cheaper 1mm plastic optical fiber (instead of higher quality multi strand plastic or quartz glass). But it does the job what it supposed to do. I'm not sure you can make out the difference.
I connected PS3 to my home theater using this cable. It works great, the sound quality is clearly noticeable against analog audio cable. Don't get fooled by the low price.
Customer Review: Short SPDIF Cable Summary: 5 Stars
Few places stock short cables... I don't know why. I'd buy 1-foot long cables if they are any good. But these 3-footers work great for the SPDIF connections I use in audio production even if they are longer than I need. A clean signal is a very important part of audio production and rolling long cables in a loop does not make a signal better. I like these short cables for the best connection and the cleanest signal in my work.
Customer Review: Since July 19 2007 and still going strong Summary: 5 Stars
Installed this item July 19 2007 and had no issues. I have it connected from my Blu Ray player to ONKYO sound system. Although the quality may not be as good as others mentioned it seems very acceptable to me - btw, I rarely touch the cable. This was a low risk investment that worked for me. Now I enjoy the sound.
Update: Dec 31 2008 - no issues to date!
