I've had a huge box of 35mm slides in the basement for a long time, with no practical way to view them. The slide projecter was long-ago broken, as was the old Kodak slideviewer that we used ages ago. It's been my intention for a long time to get the slides into a digital format. I knew I wanted to go through the slides one by one to get all the good ones onto a DVD. I was happy and quite surprised to discover the Pana-Vue -- who would think that in this high-tech age I could purchase something so low-tech? This little thing has worked great and I really enjoyed taking a stroll down memory lane in the past week or so. I purchased the adapter too so I wouldn't have to deal with battery replacement. I'm glad I did since I viewed several hundred slides. And it's a good thing I ordered a replacement bulb since the original bulb burned out after awhile. If you have a lot of slides, make sure you get the replacement bulb too. The Pana-Vue worked just fine but the bulb doesn't last long if you are looking at a large number of slides. I'm glad I bought it -- mission accomplished!

I had a lot of my dad's 35mm slides lying in various states of disrepair, some of the shots in the collection were priceless. Scanning everyone of them would have them impractical and I needed a way to pick out the really good ones. This slide viewer had a backlight, was easy to work with and had sufficient magnification to perform the task at hand. The best compliment I can give to the product would be that its light weight and convenience enabled my father-in-law who is 75 to spend the better part of his summer reviewing every slide using this viewer - he must have reviewed more than a 1000 slides - so thats numerous clicks on the button that lights up the slide. I still have a few thousand more to do and look to be using this slide viewer again. The only thing better on this device would have been a button that scanned the slide to a jpeg!Customer Review: Pana-Vue Slide Viewer - Does Its Job

The Pana-Vue Slide Viewer does just that - lets you view slides. The slide slot is easy to get the slide in and out of. The button to turn on the backlight is right on top. The screen isn't very big, but when you just need to see what is on the slide so you can organize slides, get prints made or scan into your computer, then this will work for you.Customer Review: It serves my purpose

Well I have a lot of old slides and I wanted to get a quick look at them to see if i wanted to scan them into my computer. I was looking for an inexpensive way to do this and this little viewer did a pretty good job. The screen is only two inches but for the price it worked out fine for me. Shipping was fast and no problems with the purchace.
