I read the reviews about the smell and I had the complete opposite reaction. The case is fantastic! I also had the clerk open the case because of all the "bad smell" reviews and I thought it smelled fine. It actually has a mild "citrus" smell - like an orange. After purchasing, I read the reviews which talk about a strange odor, but there was none here. I had bought the Zire for my son, and, because he is 12, the case seemed like a necessity. It fits and protects well, and I would recommend it to anyone!Customer Review: A good case

I bought this blue carrying case shortly after I got my Palm Zire for my birthday. It's a nice color and the Zire fits in the case well. (It's not too tight, as someone else said.) The color is rather nice too. There was a little smell at first, but it wasn't that bad. Unfortunately I lost my case and I wish there had been a way to connect the case and handheld together to prevent losing the case. I will probably buy a new one or a similar red one I saw somewhere else. I would recommend this case to others.Customer Review: Odor-free - unfortunately, also exterior pocket-free.

Okay, so not entirely odorless. There was certainly an odd plastic or latex type smell upon first opening the package, but it dissipated within hours and all I was left with was a slim carrying case that fit the Zire perfectly - not too tight, as others have reported. My only criticism is that there is a belt loop on the back where I think a small pocket for ID and money or a credit card should go. I mean, who puts their PDA on their belt? At any rate, a great case for the money. I'm satisfied.Customer Review: Perfect case!

This is made for the Zire, so of course it's a perfect fit! No strange smell or too snug of a fit, like I've read in some reviews. I wish it opened like a clamshell or wallet, so you didn't have to remove the Zire to use it - but all the cases like that are just too big and bulky. I work in a hospital, and this case fits perfectly in my pocket.
