Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Palm Tungsten E2 HandheldCustomer Review: Simply A Great Palm! Summary: 5 Stars
I've read a lot of the negative reviews on this Palm, and was a little concerned until I used it for myself. It's simply a great Palm! The screen is very responsive to the stylus, the colors are brilliant, the weight is light, the processor is fast, the size is compact, and the price is very affordable. I originally purchased the Palm Z22, and then decided to return it because I wanted the additional business software and the ability to expand storage. I haven't yet used the Bluetooth, but it's nice to have it there for future usage with a Bluetooth cell phone.
The Palm Tungsten E2 is an excellent, basic Palm for anyone desiring an entry-level, business-oriented handheld.
Customer Review: my second E2! Summary: 5 Stars
I find it almost impossible to live w/o a PDA, so when my first E2 (which I got for free as an incentive from an investment company - those were the days!!) died, I purchased a Sony Clie, not knowing they were discontinued. When I lost its charger, too bad - no more parts. After much shopping around, I decided to go for the E2 again - more than I need for my uses, but the old one had been reliable, and I am used to the interface. The only thing I did differently this time is buy a hard case for it, cause I think the demise of the first can be traced to banging around in my handbag unprotected for years. The back "metal" was actually worn off. I heartily recommend the E2.
Customer Review: Absolutely Fine Summary: 5 Stars
Mistake #1 - I read the reviews and bought the Zire (Z22).
Mistake #2 - Didn't see that the Zire has a tiny screen.
-
After owning an IIIxe since 2000 I had planned to upgrade to color, but the Zire had a smaller screen and so I shipped it back.
Now I've got the E2 and all those other negative and picky reviews are insignificant to the owner pleasure the E2 brings. 1) nice touch screen that's more sensitive 2) no up and down button required just tap the screen 3) relearning a couple new letters not a big deal 4) Seamless Bluetooth sync with my MAC (wow wow wow)
Con - I miss the flip up cover on my E2 (big deal? no.)
Customer Review: Tungsten E2 Handheld Summary: 5 Stars
For those that want a simple way to keep track of phone numbers, passwords (see Wakefield Software) and other similar items this is a delight. I had a five year old palm handheld and this is a much better device. The battery life is outstanding and the color screen is easy on the eyes. I'm not a sophisticated user just keeping track of numbers as I indicated. The device has more capability that I will ever use. However, having important information at my beckon call when I travel gives me a lot of peace of mind. I also like the idea of being able to transfer information back and forth from my computer to my handheld in case of failure of either device.
Customer Review: Some Advice Summary: 5 Stars
My Advice to all of you guys is too be careful about you battery Level. It may say 100% when it is charging but it is based on the voltage of power coming from the battery. So when you charge it up the voltage jumps to a high rate. So you should really be charging you Palm for about 2-3 hours if it is at about 20-40% Battery. Just charge it overnight while you sleep. Other advice is to put all aplications and games on your card instead of the internal hard drive. Because then if there is any errors just remove the smart card and then it should be back to normal. This player has worked fine for me and I bought it from Best Buy on December, 31st 2005
