Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Palm Stylus 3-Pack (3178WW)Customer Review: Could be better. Summary: 3 Stars
These styli fit my old Palm Tungsten E2 and my newer T/X. I bought them because I thought I had lost my stylus to the Tungsten.
The styli are noticeably lighter in weight than the original stylus. The pin is not useful for the T/X, because the stylus works just as well for resetting. It did help reset the E2, but I actually don't like having the pin, because the tip of the stylus needs to come off to use it and that tip keeps unscrewing.
The pen is a nice feature and it works. I think that is its best selling point. Nice to have a pen with me when I need it.
Overall, I would like a stylus with more weight and I'd prefer it if the tip didn't keep unscrewing on me.
Customer Review: Handy Palm Pen Stylus' Set Summary: 3 Stars
I think that this stylus pen set is a nice replacement for when one loses his or her stylus. However, it is grossly over-priced in the retail market in that one can pay $20 to $30 for this set. If one really needs to have a pen, buy one's favorite brand in bulk because they will last you longer than the pens in these stylus'. Besides, this set may not come to your rescue if they are not sized appropriately to fit in your device so please be careful.
Customer Review: Handy but not Weighty Summary: 3 Stars
I lost my original stylus and thought this replaces it because it is branded as a Palm product but it feels much lighter and doesn't have the nice weighty feel of the original. Don't know where you can get an original replacement? This works but doesn't feel the same. The pen function is handy though. It works, just doesn't have teh same quality feel of an original stylus.
Customer Review: Definitely prefer my original stylus over these (TX). Summary: 2 Stars
Thankfully I found my original TX stylus right after I ordered these. I didn't bother cancelling the order, because it's nice to know I have spares immediately should I lose my original again.
These things are very light compared to the original TX stylus, and writing with them is not nearly as comfortable as with the original. I never understood why you'd really need a pen in your Stylus, so this is worthless to me. I haven't had any problems with the tip coming loose, but I don't really use these that often. I can definitely see how they'd come loose when carried around. they are backup. I don't necessarily like them, but I'd deal in the event I lost the original for good.
Maybe I'm just spoiled because the original TX stylus is nice and weighty and solid feeling. I feel like I could easily just bend these between my 3 fingers if I felt like it. Cheezy. Seriously Palm, why can't you sell exactly what comes with your Palms instead of this half hearted attempt?
Customer Review: Cheap substitute Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this product at Staples. I thought I was getting a quality product, but as one of the previous reviews says, these styli are very lightweight and don't feel at all like the original (which I unfortunately lost). I wish I could find a legitimate, original replacement instead of these cheap imitations. The stylus end screws on and off and it keeps coming loose while I'm using it; plus, it is not straight so I'm constantly rotating the whole thing to find the correct angle to tap with. I suppose the only saving grace is the hidden pen, which I didn't know was there until I read these reviews. No matter, I don't like it.
