Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Palm LifeDrive Mobile Manager

Customer Review: Great palm
Summary: 5 Stars

I have my Lifedrive a couple of weeks now and i can't imagine my life without it any more.

Before this palm i used a Palm M515 and i have to say the application lag that people talk about is almost the same as on my m515 and i don't mind it.
It's a great tool for me the battery life is better then i expected (i don't run out of power for days).

The only things i don't line about this palm are:
- Power switch. it's a slider switch and for me it just doesn't do the trick. Ok i like the part that you can lock your palm with it.

- loose power connection. I would have liked it better if it would be possible to charge the lifedrive through your usb cable. Now you have to take the power adapter with you on your trips.

So all said i love this palm and be smart if you get it first upgrade to version 2 (free download at the palm webpage)

Till now my palm did a soft reset once and never hung on me.

Customer Review: Best PALM yet
Summary: 5 Stars

I had a few problems with this at first when setting it up, resets, freezes and such, until I figured out it was the software I was installing which turned out not to be compatable with the new LifeDrive OS, after that, I only installed a couple of apps that I really needed or wanted that were compatable and have not had any problems with it since. No freezes or resets.
By far, this is the best Palm to come out yet, before seeing this online, I was planning to purchase a notebook computer, but now, I am not even considering it, this totally replaces my need for a notebook. I also bought a wireless keyboard for it and a car charger, for when I am away from home and use the wifi to access the internet or use my keyboard alot.
I can say, all the complaints I read from others saying it crashes, resets or freezes alot, or is slow, I have not noticed any of this on mine.
I would say any problems other have had stems from incompatable software installs.

Customer Review: Absolutly must have!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is our third palm pilot and it kicks ass! Four gig's of memory and the wireless card is the highlight of it. The internet is pretty fast, so if you are located not too far from the source your connection will be super fast. Plus it has java script so you will see all the pics. The built in digital recorder, the ability to play MP3's and videos are also great features. The size and weight were not a problem - it is barely noticeable and we got used to it quickly. The down side is that it takes a while to load the applications or to switch from one to another. Palm does not provide a cradle in which to sync the palm, instead they give you a USB cable which we're always afraid will break. What we loved about our old Tungsten T3 was that the screen could expand but not so here. Overall, we give 4.7 stars to this awesome Lifedrive. We ddefinitely recommend buying it.

Customer Review: inquiry for allan lee or anyone!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am sorry to use this space for this very technologically novice inquiry, but I enjoyed your review so much, in the sense that I am looking for an excellent PDA, and your comments reflect my hope and sense that this is the one for me...but my question is...(sorry if it is mickey mouse...)....Blue Tooth wireless is one step above Plug and Play technology right? I ask just to verify this because the last technician I dealt with re. transferring my data from my antiquated Casio to the Palm in question that I received(which I am giving away, hoping that the LifeDrive will be the one, and be easier for the transferrence of data too), and a feature that I should look for....at very least right? Again, sorry this was a very novice question.

Customer Review: Very Useful
Summary: 5 Stars

I was afraid that this was a gadget that wouldn't live up to expectations but it truly shines. I finally have all of my contacts, documents, and databases (thanks to Filemaker) in my pocket. Even family photos and an episode of Seinfeld are there when I need them. The WiFi connects flawlessly to the internet at work, home, or at the many free hotspots popping up around the country. Bluetooth synching works great with my Powerbook. The display is beautiful and you have a choice of hand writing recognition or typing on a keyboard on the screen in qwerty style or alphabetical. If you're interested in this type of device than the LifeDrive is the way to go!
