I got an HP iPaq RX1955 for college. I got this keyboard to go with it. Obviously it was much lighter than a laptop and I only needed something to "punch out" my notes on as my professors rambled. Other than constant inquiries of my gadgets, it was a complete hit. Once everyone got used to my 'not a laptop' sitting on my desk, it made a great way to do homework, take notes, and even just chat while on the go or while waiting for the next class to start. My only complaint was battery replacements. The batteries do seem to last a while, but with lithium-ion batteries and charging capabilities there should be no reason to have to switch out batteries like that. Also worked with my Mogul a couple years down the road! I'm just super disappointed it doesn't work with my Curve since it doesn't have an infrared port :(Customer Review: Turns my Treo / Palm into a Laptop Computer!

This thing is great! I've been using it without any troubles for many months, and have found the keyboard to be nearly equal to a normal computer keyboard. It is built solidly, and is easy to open/close/set up for use. The space bar is split, which took me some getting used to, and the question mark is in a different place, which can be a bit of a problem until you get used to it. Infra-red connection, so no wires. I can fit this into my pocket, along with my Treo, and be ready for conferences, note taking, and whatever else. I have not tried it with any Palm-Based word processing programs, as I do not use those on my Treo, but for those times when you don't want to carry a laptop around, it certainly fills the need for a full-sized keyboard. I just received this product in the mail and found the installation to be extremely easy. Within minutes, I was typing away. The keyboard is a little smaller than the one on my laptop, but was easy to use (if you are used to a larger desktop keyboard it may require more of an adjustment). The keyboard locks in place and I was able to rest it on my lap and type. My only complaint is that my palm device (Tungsten E2) rests on the holder, but isn't secured in any way. I'm a bit concerned that it might fall over if I make any sudden movements. All in all, however, I'm extremely pleased with this product. I can finally leave my laptop behind and use my Tréo 650 for most of my day-to-day computing needs. I've used laptops exclusively for the past 13 years, so I like laptops. Nonetheless, using my Plam Wireless Keyboard in conjunction with my Tréo lets me type emails, letters, backgrounders, etc. without struggle. If you've been lugging around a laptop because you "might" need to take notes or stay in touch, think again. I have data service with my Tréo, so I'm always in touch with email access and the keyboard lets me get my thoughts and ideas to colleages immediately. Only few word : a have to device for any palm TX user! You get the best mobile device like this. You can connect a palm TX + this IR keyboard + a bluetooth cell phone as modem to send/receive email, surf on the internet, do some chatting like MSN / jabber and so on....
Becareful with bluetooth keyboard on palm TX, because you can only connect 1 bluetooth device to the palm TX and any palm OS devices.
It is very slim too. You can bring it with you anywhere. Very useful to write a report in a train, in a plane or in a waiting room too.
I really recommand it.
