i just bought this card about 2 weeks ago, and all i can say is wow, what a difference from my older one. my puter's built for gaming but was outdated. i play wow, and the graphics were decent but lagging every so often. the difference is night and day with the 8500. all my problems i was having before are no longer. i've even cranked all the video options from performance to quality settings just to enjoy it more. not sure about the long term value of it, but if it lasts, i'd recommend this one to anyone looking for good graphics for a reasonable price.Customer Review: Best Bang for Bucks

If you've a pre-built HP Pavilion or a Dell this is a great card for it's price.
You don't need to replace the power supply to install it and it fits the PCIx16 in the Pavilion.
Vista drivers work with no problem and the cd drivers really improve performance of the card.
The graphics improvement is noticable, very noticable over the integrated crap graphic chipset. Mass Effect for the PC is a completely new game with this card.
For $60 with no new power supply you just can't beat this card.

I had a GeForce 6600 and bought Call of Duty 4 The game ran but would freeze after 30+ minutes of play time. The Geforce 6600 was being maxed out buy the call of duty 4 game. I upgraded to The GeForce 8500Gt and the game now runs great no more freezing and the graphics are the best ever. Its not the best card out there but its the best bang for the buck I have no regreats buying this card I almost got the GeForce 8400 gs and it was $20.00 more than I got the 8500 Gt for thru amazon. Amazon rocks they have some of the best deals around.Customer Review: Great Card!

I have had this graphics card for a week now and it is working beautifuly. I used to play World of Warcraft, and it ran fine with my old graphics card that came with my computer, i hardly ever lagged. Recently i bought Age of Conan, when i first played i lagged tremendously. I had about 1-2 fps, so it wasnt even worth playing. With this card, i do not lag at all, my normal fps is between 26-30, so i am extremely happy with this card, it has worked wonders. I bought this card to replace my integrated card that comes with Dell PC so that I can play Call of Duty 4.
Pros:
Easy to install
Work for Call of Duty 4, maybe other current PC games
Some improvement in graphics, but not very noticeable.
included cable wires give multiple choices of connecting monitor and TV.
Cons:
The graphic card console on the desktop is not easy to work with, and the manual does not cover that a lot.
Bottom line:
Work with my Call of Duty 4
