First and foremost, I have a Vista operating system. I picked up the GeForce FX5200 last year in order to clone my screen. That card was terrible. My screen would flicker and my audio would crackle when I scrolled down pages. I was desperate for a replacement, but I didn't want to spend too much being that my needs are fairly basic. I picked up this card about two weeks ago. I had an initial scare because my system wouldn't turn on after installation. After removing the prior video driver and maximizing the power settings, the problem was solved. My computer now performs much better. My Vista rating went from 2.5 to 5.9. The colors look crisp and vibrant and I have no issues whatsoever with flickering. For $60, you can't go wrong. My faith in PNY has been restored.Customer Review: Great Value

This was just installed today about a week after i purchased it cause i needed a better power supply...The box says 300 watts but nowhere did it say that in any of the specs...I was kind of disappointed about that but i was going to need to upgrade eventually. The graphics are great and the control panel for this product is very detailed for those of us who dont know what all the lingo is about (concerning graphics and gaming and some visual references)
My windows rating went from 3.2 to a 4.8 for the graphics and for aero it went from a 3.8 to a 4.8 and my overall rating is that very 4.8!!
This card is good for everything from videos to games to applications and so on, so if your not an extreme gamer then i would recommend this Gcard.

This card is excellent, it completely blew away my expectations and as such I'm now looking at how I can do more through my PC onto my 42" plasma. Both the DVI and the VGA port work great and give you a ton of flexibility. I was going to use the DVI port but instead found the resolutions supported and the software made the VGA as good so why waste a HDMI port.... I've coupled this with a Diamond soundcard and love both of them. I'm not using the PC for games but for photos and DVD's I couldn't be happier.
Set-up was very easy. The only minor downside is make sure you have the room in your machine. It's a full size card and is quite big. So make sure you check dimensions first.
All is all a very happy user..

I bought a prefab computer about a month ago and naturally had to upgrade it. The biggest flaw I noticed was a terribly sluggish graphics card and went looking. A friend of mine swore by the 8800GTS but I wasn't willing to cough up that much cash ($300+)to play games that didn't require that much power, and ended up finding the 8500GT for $80 at my local electronics store.
Installation was a breeze, my video players don't get sluggish with high-def video anymore, and it absolutely loves working with Vista. For the price, you really can't go wrong unless you're really looking for the higest performance, in which I'd recommend something a bit higher up in the NVIDIA catalog.

I just very recently ordered the GeForce 8500GT 512 Video Card. I was
VERY IMPRESSED, with the order process. I had the Video Card in just
a few days after I ordered it. I had planned to install it in my Win-
dows XP, but it would not work, instead installed it in my Windows
Vista. Had it installed in no time..very pleased with it and a price
I couldn't pass up. Strongly reccomend if video card is needed for
upgrade.
