This cable is great. I misplaced my old cable and was bummed at the thought of spending another $25 at a big box store for a replacement, so checked out what was for sale online and was delighted to discover this much more affordable alternative. Why anyone would shell out the prices the big boxes ask for this item is beyond me. I just wish I knew about this source the first time around.
You won't get that shiny, silvery exterior on the cable, but the insides are just the same.
One word of caution for 1394 cable buyers, unlike USB cables, 1394 cables come in a variety of flavors with different combos of 4 and 6 pins. Be sure to check the owners manuals at both ends of the cable to make sure you're ordering the right one.
