Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Philips USA PH-62050 CD/MP3/MD-To-Cassette AdapterCustomer Review: Works as expected Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this 4 weeks ago to take on my vacation to go with my Garmin GPS. It worked great for this. I usually left the GPS connected to it. I liked this setup as I could easily adjust volume and also shutoff the audio directions when I didn't want to hear them. Bonus was that at night we played some DVDs on my laptop and I plugged the adapter into it's headphone jack. The RV' audio was much better than with the small laptop speakers.
Anyway, we were on the road for 3 weeks straight and It is working like a champ.
Customer Review: No car CD player, no problem!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I do not have a CD player in my car. However, it does not matter because I am getting the sound I need with this adapter. I just plug it into my ipod touch and have access to all of my favorite songs. While listening to my ipod, it is almost like I have a custom sound system in my car, which is amazing because my car has a factory sound system. I do not have much else to say about this product, except it is a great buy. For those, who do not have a CD player in their, do not bother to get one installed. Just pick this up!!!!
Customer Review: Great invention. Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the greatest inventions for those of us who only have a cassette player in the vehicle. When audio books started coming out on cd only, we were able to inexpensively convert. I used one with my other car for 7 years without any problem. I bought this one for my cousin who purchased a used van with only the cassette player in it. He was thrilled not to have to purchase a cd player for the van.
As always, Amazon shipped immediately and I received it within 4 or 5 days.
Customer Review: Inexpensive solution for MP3 playing in older car. Summary: 5 Stars
I've got a '96 Jeep with a cassette deck, probably one of the last years that cars came with the factory with those, and now I feel priveleged that I don't have to buy one of those FM transmitter adapters for so I can play my Sandisk Sansa over my Jeep sound system. The sound is even better than I expected it to be.
How long with this last is the question, but right now I'm just out to survive the dreaded Summer Family Road Trip, and things are looking a lot brighter as of now.
Customer Review: philips cassette adapter Summary: 5 Stars
Get it at Walmart for $10!! It's hit or miss with these adapters. Then, if it doesn't work, you can just return it with no problems. Don't deal with online retailers for these things, you very well may need to return it. Mine works fine in a 99 maxima. little if any mechanical grinding or stereo noise when in cassette player but not playing hum kind of sound. Got it to replace a Sony CPA-9C that I had for a cd player. The sony stopped working in my car. So far the philips works fine.
