Just like many others have said, this amp works awesome!!! So I purchased this amp with hopes that my (basic cable)channels would come in more clear. Two great things happened: 1. My channels came in super clear 2. My two HD t.v.s picked up plenty of HD channels, that I wasn't able to get previously!!!
I did try hooking up my cable modem to the amp outlet but my model didn't pick up any signal. So, like others suggested, I put a splitter on main line, with one cable going to amp and the other going to cable modem.
I definitely recommend this amp!!!!

My home is 25 years old w 25 year old coax cable. I have probably 10 splits througout the house. I was having poor video issues on the 2nd floor, the farthest point from the cable entrance to the home. Bought the splitter, plugged it in and connected the coax cables and I saw an immediate improvement on all TVs. Pictures are clear with great defintion and no ghost images. My house was wired using many of the cable connections daisy chained together rather then running each drop to a central distribution point. The product worked as expected. I have a new house with very long cable runs. When they built the house they ran a seperate cable to each room, instead of splitting them upstairs in the attic. I had an issue with the digital cable and the modem loosing signal and picture freezing before I purchased this item. It took about 5 minutes to install the amp and all picture issues are gone. Before I could not have the signal split into more than 3 lines before experiencing picture issues. I now have 7 lines running out of the amp without issue, including the cable modem. I have been very impressed with the Amplifier/Splitter. I am currently running three televisions off of this device and each one of them has a full strength quality picture. The set-up took a little time; not because of the device itself, but because I was able to remove a number of cables and splitters that simplified the original clutter of tangled cables. I have tried a few signal amplifiers in the past and this is the first one that really does live up to it's hype. I would recommend this device to anyone wanting to operate a number of televisions from a single cable source.Customer Review: Works Great with OTA Antenna

This splitter is working great for me. I have a long cable run from my OTA Channelmaster Stealthtenna to my TVs. With just my antenna (w/ pre-amp & power injector) connected to a passive 5-way splitter, I got pretty good, less than perfect, results. The best DTV channels were good about 85% of the time... with periodic pixelation. Now almost all of my channels are finally coming in flawlessly. Even the channels that used to have the worst reception are solid about 95% of the time. Not only that, now my tuners are picking up channels that I didn't used to get. Yay!
