This distribution amplifier provided just the boost needed (8db X 4) to provide excellent HDTV reception from over the air broadcasts. Although the instructions recommend not using it when an antenna-mounted amplifier is used, my antenna-mounted amplifier has variable gain, and by reducing its gain to the midpoint, I got superb reception without overload.Customer Review: Corrected my cable modem connection and improved TV reception.

Because of how my house is set up, there are two splitters before the cable gets to my modem. The signal dropped out before it got to my modem. This thing fixed the problem, and improved my TV reception. No problems with my IP phone or anything else. I have Comcast cable, and the guy I asked about my problem said one of these would not help. This amplifier allowed me to add an additional television and made a tremendous improvement in my internet video quality.
So, I went from one television and poor internet video to two televisions and excellent internet video quality.
I only saw a slight improvement in the cable tv quality, but I still don't have digital channels

I bought this with some caution, because I have been very unhappy with other products I have tried in hopes of boosting my cable tv quality. This product was simple to install and the results were instant. I have splitters all over the place in my basemnent and I don't see any degradation of the signal at all anymore. This signal amplifier works great. The quality of the product is great as well. I have this installed between my "over-the-air" antenna and my computer (DVR) where I record my shows. This equals about 80 feet of co-axial cable. Without the signal booster I lose channels and quality of signal. I would recommend this product.
