This amplifier is just what i needed.. i just bought a Samsung t260hd... my HDTV already had a built in HDTV tuner so i can get hd channels through my cable... however the HD channels kept flickering off and on and sometimes didn't receive them at all. This seemed to fix the problem because I've been using it for a couple of hours now and no problems at all. This amp also discovered some very important HD channels I've been missing the last couple of months. Buy this if u have a HDTV and using a splitter for other televisions.Customer Review: Ooma

This thing saved my Ooma box. I have been having problems with my Ooma Telo box. It constantly needed to be rebooted. I thought it might be my cable modem so I bought a new one. When I called the cable company to give them the MAC address they said I had a weak signal but it has good enough to get on line. This made me think about my Ooma box. My digital TV cable signal was weak because too many splitters in my house. Plus I added one more for my HTPC. This amplifier corrects the problem. Now my HDTV and HTPC both get crystal clear pictures. It is made of ceramic and well built, although the size is a little bigger than I thought.
Note that the 4 port version has each port +8db, 2 port version is +11.5 db and 1 port version is +15db. More ports give you more built-in splitters, but doesn't give you more amplification.

It boosted the "speed" of our cable modem just as advertised. Hulu Plus performance has also gotten better across all devices due to the boost. I have noticed no other changes, and never had problems with: PSN, XBOX Live, Wii, or Roku. However, the Boxee Box seems to preform faster on the interenet, as does our Sony Blu-ray player. I have recommended this product to all my friends. Also, we pay for a speed bump with Comcast but do not watch cable TV so I can't comment on picture quality.Customer Review: Did the trick

I ordered this splitter/amplifier because I am a nerd and built my own DVR with 4 tuners which meant I needed to split my comcast cable connection a bunch of times. I was getting some serious analog signal degradation and my HD signal was at times too low for my tuners to pick up. After missing 24 and Heroes one monday night I hopped online and bought this beauty. I have been using it for nearly a month and have nothing but praise for it. Works as advertised, I am completely satisfied.
