I was having intermittent reception problems on a handful of the HD channels from my cable provider. However, my biggest issue was inconsistent performance with the On Demand content from my cable provider. The inconsistent signal strength from the cable feed caused connection issues and jitter when viewing On Demand programs.
This product has boosted my signal to an acceptable level and I've experienced none of the previous issues over the past six months of use.
It proved to be a cheap and easy fix compared to scheduling a service call from the local cable provider.

My setup is two types of OTA antennas combined then amplified in the attic. This gives me a pretty good signal in the comm closet downstairs where I installed this little wonder. It gives me an excellent (near perfect) signal to 4 tuners, in the form of two HDHomeRuns. The only negative thing to say about it, which was not an issue for me, was that it doesn't include coaxial cable to go between the AC Adapter & the device, for amplification. I custom cut my cable, so this was a non issue, but I thought I would mention it. It it a quality build and performs as expected.Customer Review: Now get consistent strong signals

I have a long cable run from the street to my house (over 300 feet) and splitting the signal was killing my connections. Channels were dropping and disappearing all the time. After I installed this baby, I get perfect digital and analog signals all over! With new digital bandwidth (and satellite bandwidth) signalling, most people don't realize that standard (non amplified) splitters cause a lot of signal loss. There are also frequency requirements that most (older, standard) splitters don't meet that will cause you not to get all the channels available.Customer Review: Works great, within its limits.

At my house, I could reliably use a cable modem, OR watch TV. However, if I put in even a single splitter, my cable modem would become unreliable. This box solved that problem perfectly. I did have enough signal coming in to the house to amplify, so this little box simply strengthened everything up a bit before splitting it. This also improved reception on a couple of problem TV channels. This box will not perform miracles and magically turn a bad signal into a good one. However, if your signal is borderline, this will make a world of difference.Customer Review: Great product but...

This is a great product however be aware that you need a power inserter in SOME installations. You either have to have a power outlet near the amplifier OR run a coax from power to the amplifier OR purchase a power inserter to insert the power near one of your sets.
This is not a problem except it will hold up your installation if you need one. The company I ordered mine from was great about getting the inserter into the mail in quick order.
The unit works just fine and lived up to my hopes and expectations.
