Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of 4 PORT CABLE TV / HDTV / DIGITAL AMPLIFIER INTERNET MODEM SIGNAL BOOSTER INTERNET AMP

Customer Review: Great amplifier, and splitter! worth every penny!
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this amp / splitter to split my cable connection in my bedroom (i only pay for internet service, and tv comes through when i connect to my tv ) without the amp i couldn't split the lines because the signal would loose strength. I have it running to my cable modem, and two tv's. It basically boosted the signal so good that i have crystal clear hd cable.

YOu must have a digital converter on your tv for this to work. Please test your line on your tv before you make any asumptions that you have cable tv off the line.

This item also doesn't come with a coaxial cable to connect to the power adaptor, so you will need to purchase one. I would recommend you get the good quality r6 cable with 18awg wire. I got a few 3ft cables off ebay, for a great deal.

Customer Review: This resolved our weak signal problems.
Summary: 5 Stars

Our house receives a weak signal from the cable provider. It is then split inside the wall between the upstairs and downstairs, front and back bedrooms. The resulting signals are too weak for ClearQAM reception. To simplify a complicated story, I removed some of the splitters and used this instead, splitting the signal into two for my PC (which has a TV tuner) and one for our ancient CRT television. The result is that the PC gets a good ClearQAM signal, a fair analog cable TV signal, and the TV gets a good analog cable TV signal. For some reason the PC's TV tuner seems to get static that the TV does not, but it's still tolerable, and I mostly watch the ClearQAM channels anyway.

To sum up: The splitter is easy to use and works almost perfectly.

Customer Review: 2 years and going strong
Summary: 5 Stars

My setup was simple: rabbit ear antenna with this little amps. I don't need the bi-directional function since I am watching free-to-air. The signal strength is good even with the low gain antenna that I can watch all my local channels.

Hence this device does two jobs in one: distribution and saving to buy HDTV antenna.

Two years+ in the attic with over 120 degrees in summer and 20s in winter haven't had any problems from it. Strongly recommended.

ps, for the 8 port version, the forward gain is not as high. Hence I ended up with two splitters for total 6 ports configuration. The two higher gain signals are fed for the longest destinations, the other 4 are for up stairs. No problem on signal strength, yet cheaper!

Customer Review: Works Great for HDTV OTA!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been shopping around for a good Amp for some time, and decided to buy this because of the good reviews. I was not disappointed.

According to my DirecTV AM21 Off-Air tuner, this Amp improved my signal by at least 20-30%. Stations that I was previously receiving signal at ~70%-80% they are now reaching signal levels at or near 100%. Two particularly bad stations (13.1 [VHF] and 22.1 [UHF]) are now coming in better than 90%, with no pixelation. I even pick up a new station at ~40% that I wasn't receiving at all before I hooked up this product.

Overall I'm very happy with this product, I can now watch all my favorite network shows with no pixelation in crystal clear HD.

Customer Review: 4 Port digital amplifer replacing a passive splitter
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased the 4-Port amplifier to replace a passive 3-way splitter that was feeding 2 TV's and a DVR. The problem with the 3-way splitter was that it reduced the signal strength by 3.5 db at one port and 7 db at the other two ports. Although the TV fed from the port with only 3.5 db of signal loss worked fine, two local stations would either show pixels, freeze, or show no signal on the -7 db ports. I installed the 4-Port amplifier in place of the 3-way splitter and the problem was solved. Now all of the stations have perfect pictures. I would highly recommend using this amplifier in place of a passive splitter if you have any signal problems.
