Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of P3 International P4400 Kill A Watt Electricity Usage MonitorCustomer Review: Great Device, Delivers As Promised Summary: 5 StarsVery pleased. Works exactly as I expected/desired. The negatives I read about prior to using the product seem very overdone. Do yourself a favor, like I did, and attach a 10" pigtail to the device (available at most retailers). With this addon, you won't have any problem plugging the device into any standard outlet, even if the other plug in the outlet is being used. My pigtail lights up, so it also confirms a good connection. Easier to manipulate the device and read the display. Very easy to read display, disregard commenters that state otherwise. In the dark, use a flashlight to read the digits, if necessary. I gathered some very interesting data, such as a string of lights I have up around my patio that I've always been curious what they're consuming, given that the box they came in gave no indication of the strand total or the individual bulbs. Turns out the 100+ lights use 38 watts under full load. Pleasantly surprised on that one. My girlfriend's cell phone charger uses 0 watts when it's not charging, even though a tiny LED shines, indicating it's plugged in. I've had a lot of fun with the device and I'm sure it will prove to be very useful in the coming months/years.
Customer Review: P4400 kill a watt monitor Summary: 4 StarsGood little unit, the only draw back is you have to get down on your hands and knees to read it. It would be nice if it could retain data for a few a little while so you could take it out to read it.
Customer Review: Kill A Watt Summary: 5 StarsEveryone needs this monitor. When complaining about the cost of power bills you might be shocked to find out how much your are paying just for technology you have plugged in around your house and not being used. As Vice Chair of the Efficiency and Conservation Sub Committee for the State of Alabama we are looking at implementing a technology call "GreenSwitch". GreenSwitch will turn off all lights, turn up or down theromstats, and turn off all electrical outlets when you are not home or "retired for the night". We were absolutely shocked at how much "vampire power" is being "sucked" out of hour homes. The DOE says this is 10%-15% of our powerbills. We highly recommend all states adopt this technology. It is simple and it works. Everyone knows how to turn a switch on or off. That is all you have to do with this technology (GreenSwitch).

Customer Review: Great Tool! Summary: 5 StarsThis little guy is awesome for rating power consumption! I plugged a small power strip into it, and connected a computer with dual flat-panel monitors, and rated overall power consumption over a day! Using this utility, you can really see how much power your items are taking up, and how much money they are costing you per hour! (Also, a cool thing to check is how much power things use while off! You would be amazed!)
The interface is simple, and easy to use! Everyone should keep one in their house, and use it!
Customer Review: Great little device. Footprint needs updating Summary: 4 StarsPurchased this to get an idea of device loads.. and particularly vampire loads. It helped me identify which were the worst offenders, and with some devices, interestingly, there was zero draw when off. This was the case with my 7+ yo TV. It's definitely a handy gadget.
The one issue I have with it is the footprint. It's sized just big enough that it covers at least one open plug when you plug the unit in. If they fixed that it'd be a 5-star.
