I lost my original METZ 28 c-2 flash diffuser that's the reason I bought opteka universal studio soft box. I'd seen their item description that say it works for other external flash units that's true! and I ordered it as soon as possible.(but it's not gonna fits on Metz CT 60 series/portable flash Ok remember this! because I already tried it and it won't fits in).
Overall I am very glad that I bought this item.Especially that I really need it very much 'cos I have a work to do this month for shooting wedding.
It looks like a mini studio lamp over my 40D it looks good for the pro!

I am extremely happy with my purchase! I would recommend also purchasing Gels for your flash as I like to use this item with a orange gel for a warm glow. As a professional photographer I don't ever use my flash without it! Highly recommend this item. I would say though, in hind sight I would say you be careful with this item and fold it up after each use. I kind of just like to throw my flash assembled in my bag and well... it can get wrinkled. It doesn't effect the quality of my photos but it does make my set up look a little wonky :)Customer Review: Great Gadget

I can't believe what great lighting this little $13 gadget gives. It softens the light giving your subject a beautiful, even glow. I used it in total darkness to shoot a picture of a sleeping baby and the results were amazing... plus the baby wasn't affected by a bright flash in her face. The diffuser folds flat for storage. Don't be discouraged when you first receive it... yes, it feels flimsy in your hand but once you open it up and attach it to the flash unit it's stable. Well...the reviews were right. The quality was a bit dicey...but I got what I paid for and am delighted with the unit. I have used it and was pleased with the results. I read the reviews and had to modify it to get it to work with my Nikon SB-100 strobe. Instead of gluing velcro on my strobe I hooked a small rubber band into the velcro on the softbox and hooked the rubber band to my strobe...which works okay. This softbox was designed for the bigger Nikon strobes, but does work (after a fashion) on the smaller one.Customer Review: Great Product - Makes My Nikon SB800 a Soft Box

I just went to a seminar on photographic lighting with Joe McNally that was put on by the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. Joe used and recommended the product. I used it the day after it arrived to take photographs at my Rotary Meeting. It made the images less harsh and gave them a much better appearance. It would be nice if the unit was more securly attached to the flash but for the price and the versatility of being able to use it on various flash units it is a winner.
