I'm using this shelf instead of mounting my Epson PowerLite 8100 projector from the ceiling. It works just fine and it looks nice. Mount it up high on the wall and you get the benefits of a ceiling-mounted projector without the focus issues. Of course, you may want to cover the dangling HMDI and power cables with paintable cable covers, but you can get those cheap on Amazon or any home-supply store.Customer Review: So lucky I found it

I searched high and low for a shelf for my projector so that I don't have to ceiling mount it. This fits it PERFECTLY, literally couldn't be an smaller or bigger. It's a very nice and strong shelf. My father wants one for himself now. You can't go wrong with the price either, every local store I went to had smaller and much cheaper quality (non-glass) shelves and they were just as much as this one.Customer Review: Just a shelf..

It is what it is. Not a heck of a lot too it. It is a shelf. I might add that this is built like a brick outhouse. High quality and sturdy. I was amazed at the weight of the thing. The glass shelf has to be 1/2" thick. It also swivels side to side.
Mount it properly into a stud and it will easily handle any component.
I would definitely buy another one of these.

This was exactly what I was looking for, and it worked out nicely for the area where it has been mounted. Just be cautious, as others have mentioned, you may want to mount this shelf where it won't be in the way. Luckily for our location - it's mounted high up and is not in a high traffic area. I had recently purchased a flat screen TV and a wall mount and needed a shelf for a satellite reciever and DVD player that wouldn't look out of place. This fit the bill perfectly. Good quality heavy duty design. I used the lag bolt installation method that attaches to the wall studs and I have no doubt that it is sturdy enough to hold a lot more wieght than I use it for.
