We have a 50inch projection television that we have ALWAYS had to put the cable receiver on the floor since we didnt want a surrounding entertainment center. I had seen & heard about something similar before but had never found anywhere to purchase one. This one is GREAT! It's more exspensive than the other plastic models, but it's solid. I had a little trouble putting it together only because I either read passed or it did not mention inserting the front feet that grab onto the front of the TV. I bought one of these a few years back and the top section of the back legs was made out of plastic. I used it for a Polk Audio CS2 center channel speaker and a few weeks ago the plastic parts finally gave out. Luckily the speaker wasn't badly damaged. Since I could not find anything else that's even close to this I decided to buy another one. When I received the new one I was pleasantly surprised to find that OmniMount is no longer using any plastic parts for this product so it should be a lot sturdier this time around.Customer Review: Very clever center speaker stand

It is very versatile and still very sturdy. In fact it can be used in even more ways than the manual points out, to fit more kinds of TVs and surfaces. I use it on top of my Sony 55A3000 rear projection LCD. My speaker is about 20 lbs and I do not see any signs of stress on the TV or the stand. And at this price point, it seems like a very good value for money.
One bad point is that it offers no mechanism to conceal the speaker cables going to the speaker.
Overall, Higly recommended.

I have a JVC 56 rear projection DLP TV and needed some place to put the center channel speaker. I have a Bose center channel that would not fit or sound good in the entertainment center below the TV. It took me quite some time to find this shelf but it works perfect. It took me all of 15 min to mount and the thing I like most is the form factor is minimal (granted that I do have a large center channel).Customer Review: Durable and nice-looking!

For the money, this unit can't be beat. It was very easy to assemble and it should last forever. It also looks nice, though one won't be able to see 99% of it, and that's a good thing because you want people to see the speaker, not the shelf.
I haven't purchased my new TV yet, but I hope to be mounting this by next month on a new 1080p Samsung 50" DLP. I am sure it will work perfectly.
