OPPO makes a great line of low cost/high value products, including the HM-31 3 port HDMI switch. I use this 1.3 HDMI compliant switch to feed my Key Digital video processor/scaler. With these two devices I am able to watch ALL sources (DirecTV HR21 [1080i], PS3 Blu-ray [upscaled to 1080P], Apple TV [720P], Marantz DVD [480P] )in vibrant 1080P HD.
The package includes a credit card size IR remote to manually change ports or the auto sensing feature will transfer to the port having a video signal. This small, thin unit also has unobtrusive LED's to indicate power and port selected.
In this time of ever expanding media, I just wish OPPO offered a 4 or 5 port model.

Great little unit, functions as an HDMI switch just fine. Detects an active source and automatically switches to that input, (can manually choose the input too of course) the gloss black finish and clean appearance make for a classy looking device, indicator LEDs are not overly bright as to be distracting in a dark room. Right now it's switching between my PC connected via DVI - HDMI adapter and my Toshiba HD-D3, and outputting to my Pioneer PDP-4280HD and i've never had an issue with handshaking etc. The remote control is handy, but I've programmed my universal remote to take over that function. Having a Denon 2808 receiver, one of its shortcomings is only 2 HDMI inputs. This switcher takes care of that and covers HDMI 1.3 abilities that include deep color and 1080p(which my receiver and TV support). I have my HDTivo, PS3, and Toshiba HD-A2 (HD-DVD) hooked up to the switch. By doing so and using my Harmony remote I never have to change inputs - the HDTivo is always 'live' but since it's on the third HDMI (one you should use for always live inputs) and the PS3 and HD-A2 on the other 2 inputs whenever I select them the switcher automatically 'senses' that device is turned on and changes to it. Works like a champ: no video or audio reduction when using it.Customer Review: Awesome HDMI switch for the price

I bought this because my 3 year old Samsung LCD HDTV had only 1 HDMI input. I have a Sony upconverting dvd changer, and I just recently added a PS3 to my collection of HDMI devices, so I needed an inexpensive way to add more HDMI inputs. And the Oppo is simply the best switch I have ever owned.
It just works great, just connect your gear and it should work. It auto switches between the different HDMI sources, you don't even need the supplied remote control.
Definitely grab this even if your HDTV already has 3 HDMI inputs because you can never have enough HDMI inputs.
This HDMI switch is AWESOME and affordable...I love it.

All I can say is it is PERFECT. Worked very well and it was very easy to hook up. Need to make sure you have TWO HDMI cables because one will be used to connect it to TV directly and has nothing to do with the ones you will use to hook up your components. All its features work just like a charm. No problems to comment as of yet. Have a Sony 46" LCD, Blu-Ray Player, and DirecTV hooked up to it. Works great and would highly recommend to anyone is looking for a HDMI Multi-Switch use. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I searched all consumer reviews as to the best of HDMI Switches and this came in tops and it really is. The BEST!
