Customer Review: The First switch that actualy works with HDCP as advertised

This unit works exactly as advertised with NO compatability issues with HDCP or HDMI to DVI cables. I had previously bought 2 other HDMI switches to use with my Samsung HLN-567W DVI input DLP TV that did not work with the HDCP. They were both advertised to be HDCP compliant and had several reviews that said other users had success.
As noted in other reviews of the OPPO HDMI switch it works perfectly with the Motorola HD DVR that Verizon FIOS and Comcast provide. I recently bought a Sony Blue Ray player and wanted to use the HDMI output since that's the only way it will upconvert standard DVD's. My TV only has one DVI input so this switch fit the bill and works perfectly. Unlike other switches the LED's on this unit are not to bright so they are not distracting during dim room movie watching.

I was in need of an HDMI switch that was reliable and accurate. I wanted to make sure that I did not lose picture quality during switch transmission and that the switch would be smart enough to prioritize my devices appropriately. This product did just that and I am very pleased with the results thus far. While I initially thought the price was a bit more than I was willing to pay for a switch I am happy that I made this decision. I performed some research, read blogs, and reveiewed the products on cnet and all conclusions led to the same which was the purchase of this product. The product looks sharp, no loss of picture quality, stunning/sharp images, and it prioritizes the signals with accuracy based on the device connections. im writing this review mainly because i bought 3 other hdmi switches from amazon before finally finding this one that works with my comcast dvr box.
It seems like comcast is really picky about whats compatible with there motorola dvr box. most switches will not give you a picture or give you a picture thats not hd or give you a nice picture and no audio.. it gets aggriavting i had to use the trial and error process and luckily amazon.com's return policy was great!
If you have a comcast dvr box and your using hdmi cables and want a nice picture and nice sound this is the hdmi switch your looking for it works great with my ps3 and comcast dvr service!! dont waste your time with the others as i did.

Customer Review: Perfection! What else to expect from OPPO?

I went through bunch of the HDMI switches. Ironically, the cheapest brand less "HDMI Switcher" for $20 worked flawlessly with all my devices. Nobody knows how reliable it is though. The rest were hit and miss and only worked with some devices, including very reputable and expensive brand name switches. Mid-range priced HDMI switches are a lottery with no "winners". Usually your luck depends on the set of devices you have.
I also got OPPO switch and it proved once again - you can rely on OPPO. Should have bought it the first. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but it works, it is a pleasure to own and use, well engineered, well packaged(Apple-like style) and will serve you well for a long time to come.
OPPO offer rock solid products, period...

I finally found an automatic switch that will work with my stubborn SA 8300 cable box from Time Warner! First I tried the Terk 3-1 HDMI switch. I could not get a picture at all with that device. This unit, while more expensive, worked right out of the box. I have a Playstation 3, SA 8300 Cable Box and RCA Scenium 50' 1080i LCD projection TV. The autoswitching feature works great for me as well. When I run my PS3 the input switches to it, when I turn it off it takes about 5-10 seconds but it switches back to the cable box automatically!
If you have a SA 8300 cable box and need extra HDMI imputs this is the device for you! While I was hoping to spend less money the ease of use and auto switching ability make this well worth the price!
