The solar powered charger is exactly what I was looking for. I totally drained my Tenergy "D" cell rechargeable batteries, put them in the solar charger, put the unit in a exterior window on the sunny side of the house for 10 hours & had a 90% charge in all four batteries. The solar charger works with all common battery types, AAA, AA, C, & D. Most good quality rechargeable batteries can be recharged up to 1000 times.
I do not understand why anyone who may be without power for a couple of days or couple of weeks could survive without a solar charger. You could stock up on regular batteries & and when they are dead you throw them out, what a waste.
