My laptop was shutting down due to heat. I was able to track my temperature using software, Real Temp 3.0, and found my laptop was shutting down after 97C. At the time my first solution was to buy a laptop cooler, which was a total waste of money. Not only did the small fans do anything for my problem, but the cheap construction left one fan useless after a couple of weeks. So before I spent any more money on the more expensive coolers I decided to clean and replace the thermal paste on my system. So I started to research and finally decided on this one. Incredibly my laptop is now running at a steady 75C (69C as I write this review on the "Balanced" power setting) during regular, multitasking, work-related use. All in all, I am happier because I can set the "High Performance" setting in Windows again.
