I have been using computers constantly since the Apple II + and early IBM days of 640 RAM. I fully understand the fast obsolecense of any type of these machines. I am careful about adding hardware modifications to computers for this reason. I think that netbooks are a major milestone in computers and the addition of inexpensive enhancements in RAM to 2 Gigs in this case is very important given the new Atom microprocessor which saves battery life by running slower. So the 2 Gig ehancement should be a no brainer from the outset with this computer. I installed it myself and I am hardly a hardware mechanic. I watched a video on YouTube and it took a few minutes.Customer Review: Good cheap netbook upgrade

For around 20 bucks after rebate, this 2 GB of SDRAM from OCZ is an excellent deal. I installed it with no problems in my ASUS 1000H netbook, with the system recognizing the 2 GB upon booting. Just make sure you seat the memory into the socket/slot firmly before pushing the raised edge of the module down flat to complete installation.
Although this memory upgrade wasn't necessary for my ASUS 1000H netbook (running Ubuntu) in going about its typical netbook tasks, it was useful for my running resource-hogging virtual machines via Virtual Box. If you're looking for an easy netbook hardware upgrade, this is a good one.

I bougth this memory for an Asus Eee 900HE as an upgrade. By default this netbook comes with 1Gb and Windows XP Home. I wanted to put one extra Gigabyte and free my mind of any memeory problems.
With this memory it just was take it of the package open the Asus remove the ones that come with and put this new one. Everything goes like a charm, just turn de Asus on and the new memeory was recognized by the netbook and Windows.
No problems nor difficulties reported in the proccess. If you have and memory upgrade to do I recommend this memory. Just confirm that this one is supported by you computer.

Bought this to beef up my new Asus Eee 1000 HE Netbook, which came with 1 GB.
Installation was a breeze, but afterwards you have to use a little trick to convince the system that it now has 2 GB at its disposal:
when the machine boots up, hit the F2 key repeatedly, until the BIOS menu appears. It will recognize the new configuration, you hit F10 to save it, and off you go.
There is no real plug and play here, without doing this maneuver, the BIOS will only recognize 1 GB and not 2 GB.
Other than that - it works. Is my netbook faster now? No idea, I never took lap times with only 1 GB in it...

This memory works fine with the Acer Aspire One AOD150-1165 10.1-Inch Sapphire Blue Netbook - 6 Cell Battery sold here at Amazon.com. Takes about one minute to unscrew the memory panel on the bottom of the netbook, replace the card then replace the panel. Free shipping (included) took 5 days to Ohio. I have the high power 580 mAmp battery and I've been getting an insane 8-9 hours of battery life on a single charge made up of surfing and e-mail use. This netbook has been one of my best tech buys of the last 10 years.
