Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Nyrius NY-GS3200 5.8GHz 6 Channel Wireless Audio/Video Sender Transmitter & Receiver System with IR Remote ExtenderCustomer Review: pleasantly suprised Summary: 5 Stars
First of all, you must pair this system with a CATV to RCA converter (I used the Grandtec TUN-2000) for it to be truly functional. And second I wouldn't even try this thing with digital cable or satellite. But for just basic cable, when you want to have a TV where there's no cable outlet, it gets the job done - at 5.8Ghz to boot, so as not to interfere with wireless internet. And the picture quality is indistinguishable from a regular cable plug-in.
This is not to say anything about the reliability of the product. As other users have reported, it seems cheaply constructed and will probably not work any longer than 6 months. The only long term solution is to run cable.
This product is for you if you:
1. Need to put a TV in a room with no cable outlet.
2. Have the 2.4Ghz spectrum already occupied by wireless phone or internet.
3. Plan to eventually run cable to the room or buy another system every six months when it breaks.
Customer Review: excellent product Summary: 5 Stars
I tried three other products prior to this one. They did not work!! The last product purchased, prior to this one, the salesperson said, i have had only one returned. Perhaps he only sold one. The picture quality is just a grade below the sender tv, but still quite good, the sound is very good, and there is zero static or other interferences. I have it going thru two brick walls, one vinyl wall and several windows about 7ft. away from the sender unit. the unit itself looks very good, not cheap like one i bought. I would recommend this product, and have done so. Just wish i would have purchased this one first and saved myself the hassle of trying to get the other ones to work. Outstanding product. Customer Review: Clifford says wireless transmitter receiver does what he wants Summary: 5 Stars
I may have revied this before under C. Bradley, however, I juse wanted everyone to know that I bought this device so that I could watch Direct TV from more than one location in the house. Particularly, I was finding myself watching everything in the Living Room, and not getting anything done. So, I thought I'd give this a try. It does exactly what I wanted, that is, it allows me to watch and listen to what's on in the Living Room from my office while I'm doing other stuff. I didn't think that the remote would work that well, but it works perfectly. It is just like it works on the main unit.
Setup took about 5 minutes, and it worked perfectly the first time. Sometimes if you walk in front of the unit you get a little static, but that is not a problem because if I'm walking in front of it, I'm not actually watching it.

Customer Review: Great Device! Summary: 5 Stars
I just got this unit to replace the 2.4GHz Leapfrog unit I used for the past four years. I am sending my Cable TV signal from my TV room to my small LCD kitchen TV, located about 18 feet away, but with two brick walls, a wooden cabinet and a refrigerator on the way. The 2.4 GHz unit worked relatively well, but there was always some degree of interference and when turning on the microwave oven, interference was really bad. So I decided for the 5.8 GHz unit. Well, couldn't make a better choice! The signal in channel 1 is just great, with no interference at all even from my 5.8 GHz wireless telephones. The remote control also works great through the remote extender. Also, my purchasing experience at Amazon met all my expectations (right product, right price, on time delivery). I highly recommend this product!
Customer Review: Almost Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
My original review was a 5 but after a couple of weeks of use I have had to lower it to a 4. The picture is great but the remote extension isn't up to par with the picture. Some days it works great and other days it won't work at all. Most of the time it is in between and the channel will change when you want except instead of going one channel at a time it starts going through a loop till it gets tired and stops on a random channel. I've also figured out that when using the normal tv source I have to shut off the transmitter in order for the remote on that tv to work properly. The main thing though is that the picture transmitted from the living room to the bedroom is great and the remote issues are simply an inconvenience. This is only a temporary set up for a few months and does what we needed.
