Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Nyko Wireless Net Extender - Wireless bridge - Ethernet, HomeRFCustomer Review: Works well for online console gaming Summary: 4 Stars
I've been using this to play Halo 2 and 3 online for the last few years. It's reliable and it works great; I rarely experience lag and only occasionally (once a week, maybe) have to reset it by unplugging it for 20-30 seconds. Simple setup and a low-profile design make it easy and unobtrusive. The only drawback is that it doesn't match the speed of my Wireless N router, so I don't get as fast a datastream to the Xbox as I possibly could.
Customer Review: It Works Good Summary: 4 Stars
Its a good product if you have a 2 story house and you dont want a long wire all over the place. Sometimes my Xbox 360 cant read the IP Adress but i just hit the restore to faculity settings and it works again
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 4 Stars
When I first hooked this up to use for Socom 2 on PS2, I kept losing connection. I figured the thing was broken, but then I tried it for Xbox Live, and it works great.
Customer Review: Useful, but limiting! Summary: 3 Stars
Very useful to purchase for a relatively cheap price. Especially when compared to the cost and security issues of wireless networks. The product has no problems with doors at all, but must be pointed in teh general area. I have it going through 2 90 degree bends and it was fine if they faced the door and were high up in the wall. But when I rearagned my desk near the router(location wise) the signal was VERY week. What works best is to have a switch as a halfway point w/ another NET EXTENDER as the uplink. That ensures good connection and upgradeability. However, if you are doing this for only 1 computer, I would recommend a POWERNet adapter (runs through power lines), YOu can get those for 79.99 new and works just as well. However I am unaware if the powernet adapters are XBOX compatible.
Customer Review: Awnser for "Do you need an network adapter?" Summary: 3 Stars
Yes!
ps2 Network adapter is the only way you can get on line. This product will allow you to play online wireless. Instead of buying the ethernet cord (or 10/100 cord) which plugs into your router or your computer.
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
