I'm getting a little annoyed with people criticizing it for being a marketing tool, or for not doing what it has been hyped up to do. It does what it was meant to do, and the idea is truly great. Just because there are few games that make use of it now does not mean that it was a waste of money. First of all, you should check your games to see if the boxes say it can use the cable -before- you buy it. And for those who think it doesn't offer enough anyway, take a look at this: If you link Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime with the cable, you can A.) Use Samus' Fusion Armor from Metroid Fusion in Metroid Prime, as well as B.) Play the original NES Metroid game on your Gamecube. What -isn't- cool about that? You get to play the entire first Metroid game, adding a third (and rather excellent) game to your library. And this is just the beginning. Companies are developing games that will use the cable in unique and worthwhile ways. Just have patience, it opens up a well of new opportunities, and at a very affordable price.

Ok, so don't get this if you don't really play alot of games. I really only got this because I am a collector of all things gaming. I did enjoy it because it did allow me access to certain things in games that I hadn't been able to get to before and plus I am a big fan of all things Harvest Moon. (note: most of the Harvest Moon games on Gamecube and GBA connect to the opposite console. Ex: GC to GBA & GBA to GC) As a note to all who wish to buy it, I do enjoy this thing when I am using it but I haven't been using my Gamecube alot lately and therefore haven't used the cable alot lately. You will probably end up with the same circumstance. It's a great buy if you have enough games that connect with both or you are a collector like myself but to all who think they might use it for one game....it might not be worth it.

Although I am content with the speed with which this purchase took place and that the Gameboy Advance cable works properly, I am disappointed that what I got was not what I ordered. The picture and description of the cable was for a NINTENDO Gamecube Gameboy Advance cable but what I received was a MADCATZ Gamecube Gameboy Advance cable. Apparently, there is some deception or the seller was smokin' something and didn't know the difference. Also, there are some Gamecube games that will simply not accept any other cables other than the NINTENDO brand of cable and therefore do not function properly.

I will, though, continue to use Amazon again and am happy with the process. Thank you.

Well, if you`re an Animal Crossing fan, you have GOT to have this!
This is the source of most codes, and allows you to travel to an island, where you will be able to pick fruit, and play with the islanders using a hand, which resembles the Master Hand in Super Smash Bros. Meelee.
Plus, there`s more!
Connecting your gba also allows access to better design techniques in The Able Sisters, if you favor the GBA controls when given an option.
And, there`s also an ETM, which you will have access to if you have e-Reader, AND the Nintendo Gamecube/Game Boy Advance Cable.
It`s a great item.
