I bought this thinking it would let me play GBA games through the Cube. WRONG! I do have both metroids though haven't beaten Prime to unlock the original Metroid yet but I have a little more motivation now! Just so you know this does not replace the Gameboy player GC attachment.Customer Review: Not necessary, but definitely worth it.

For those who don't know, this cable links the GBA to a Gamecube, often opening up new gameplay experiences in the process. While it is not the life-altering experience that Nintendo is advertising, it is useful in a number of games and adds replay value. If you're looking to buy a GBA/GCN cable, then buy this one. The official cable is always the most reliable, and is guranteed to work with all GBA/GCN compatible games. So far the games I know of that support the cable areSonic Adventure 2 Battle (requires Sonic Advance) - Lets you trade Chao between the two games. Also the first game to use the cable
Animal Crossing - Lets you go to the Island. Also lets you use E-Reader cards with the game.
Metroid Prime (requires Metroid Fusion) - You can get the Varia suit on Metroid Prime if you beat Fusion, and you can play the original NES Metroid on your GBA if you beat Prime
Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Lets you use the Tingle Tuner for use on your adventure
Pokemon Box: Ruby and Sapphire (yes, this is a real game. As far as I know, only a Japanese release date is confirmed. Requires Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire) - Lets you play Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire on a Gamecube, using the GBA as a controller, and store Pokemon on the boxes on the Gamecube.
Also, you can use the GameBoy Advance as a controller for controlling GBA games on the GameBoy Player. It dosen't support many games now, but still, BUY IT! Some games require it if you need it to do certain things, some games require it, and if you use it in certain games, you can unlock certain things that you can't normally acess. And another plus, you can use it for a controller for PokeBox and GB Player.

If you haven't already bought the GC/GBA link cable, buy this today.You'll find it to be extremely useful for games like Animal Crossing, Zelda-The Wind Waker, and others. It will allow you to see more map areas in Zelda, get hints and so forth. Be sure to buy the Nintendo brand prodct, they last longer and are more durable.
