Customer Review: A Must Have For Anyone Who Owns A GCN and A GBA
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a cool new feature for GameCube. It lets you transfer information from specially designed games to your GBA,without having to buy a game pak (for the GBA).Below is a list of games that support the feature:

Animal Crossing

Visit a tropical island where it's always summer, and meet an island inhabbitant, eat coconuts, and even get a tan!

How to do it:
Plug your GBA up to your GCN,turn it on,and go talk to Kapp'n at the docks to leave for Animal Island!

You can also design new clothes on the GBA,without having to pay Mabel and Sabel!

How to do it:

Plug it in,turn it on,talk to Mabel,go through the list, and start designing!
The Legend of Zelda:The Wind Waker (which is an AWESOME GAME!)

Use the "Tingle-Ceiver" to plant bombs in the area of your choice, and get exclusive items!
For example,You can be playing Zelda, while your brother or sister plants bombs for you!

How to do it:
??? (Please consult instrucion manuel, when this game comes out.
Sonic Adventure 2:Battle

You can take your pet Chao, and put it on the GBA so you can take your pet wherever you go!

How to do it:

In the Chao Garder,go to the big GBA stand that says, "Chao Adventure".Stand on the big red button, highlight you pet, and, well,I don't need to explain because the game pretty much tells you how to do it. If you still can't do it,consult the SA2B instrucions.
Mickey Mouse Staring in:Mickey Mouse and the Magical Mirror

NOTE:You must have the Mickey Mouse game for GBA to do this.

By connecting the GBA to your GCN,you can link the two adventures to form one super-quest!

How to do it:
??? (please consult instucion manuel.)
In the near future, there will be football games that let you use the GBA to cook up your own,"secret" plays. There has also been a new Kirby:Tilt 'n Tumble! for GCN announced, but I don't know what purpose the GBA serves.

Overall,if you own any of the games I mentioned, then you absolutely, positivedly need this cable!
Until next time,NewAtomMan,signing off!
By the way, sorry for the spelling mistakes.

Customer Review: A link cable that sets Game Cube & GBA apart from the rest!
Summary: 5 Stars

As of this writing, it's to my understanding that there are only 2 games on the market that take advantage of the features available with the use of this cable: "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" and "Animal Forest" (Japanese-only). But that's just the beginning!

Use this cable with "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle":
If you've played Dreamcast's "Sonic Adventure" or "Sonic Adventure 2", then you're familiar with the beloved critters called "Chaos" (pronounced "ch" as in "chocolate"). With Game Cube's version, "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle", just remove your Game Cube controller from it's port, plug one end of this "Cube Link Advanced" cable into it, and connect your GBA to the other end. You can then transfer Chaos from your Game Cube's "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" game to your GBA.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Oh, I could do the same thing with the Dreamcast and a VMU. Then, I could take my Chaos for a 'walk' and play games with it." But, no! This is NOTHING like a Chao on a Dreamcast VMU! Your Chaos will not only be seen in the GBA's 32bit color, but you'll also be able to play REAL games on your GBA with your little Choas such as "Chao Karate" and "Chao Racing"! Also, trade Chaos with your friends via a GBA2GBA link cable!

"Animal Forest" (Japanese-only at this time):
Even though I do own a Japanese-import Game Cube, I have yet to get my hands on this game. Therefore, I can't tell you first-hand what transfers to the GBA; however, it seems that it's very similar to what I described above with the Chaos, except here it will be with the little animals from this game.

Another function served by this "GBA-to-Game Cube" cable is that it will allow you to use your GBA as a Game Cube controller (with compatible games only). For instance, you'll be able to plan "secret" football plays on your GBA, then execute them in the Game Cube game so that your opponent won't be able to see them coming!

Customer Review: The link that will bridge the console - handheld gap
Summary: 5 Stars

This new GameCube-Game Boy Advance game link is the future of gaming. It will open up new worlds to gamers. Like previewing and choosing plays in secrecy on your GBA screen, or viewing the map of an RPG or adventure game your playing for GameCube, or even using the GBA as an extra GameCube controller. The possibilities are endless. And developers ARE noticing this. Already Sonic Adventure 2 Battle can use it for the Chao garden, and Animal Forest Plus (making it's way to North America later this year) uses the link as well. But other developers have hinted at there wanting to take advtange of it. Square said that they want to create a Final Fantasy game (yes, there back together) for GameCube and GBA that would use the link cable for something.
The link it's self is very easy to use. Just plug the one end into a controller port on your GameCube, and plug the other end into the top of your GBA (the same place where the multiplayer link goes in). It has a lock on there so it fastens to your GBA so it can't accidently fall out, like in the early prototype. The transfer of data does take a little time, of course. But the wait isn't that bad. It usualy never last more then 15 seconds.
Unfortunately you will not be able to play GBA games online threw this cable, as it is not fast enough to transfer the data at a fast enough speed. It would require a much thicker, and expensive wire.
This is one accesory I highly suggest you buy if you own a GameCube and a Game Boy Advance...

Customer Review: The best GBA/GCN cable money can buy
Summary: 5 Stars

If you're looking to buy a GBA/GCN cable, then buy this one. The official cable is always the most reliable, and is guranteed to work with all GBA/GCN compatible games. So far the games I know of that support the cable are

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (requires Sonic Advance) - Lets you trade Chao between the two games. Also the first game to use the cable

Animal Crossing - Lets you go to the Island. Also lets you use E-Reader cards with the game.

Metroid Prime (requires Metroid Fusion) - You can get the Varia suit on Metroid Prime if you beat Fusion, and you can play the original NES Metroid on your GBA if you beat Prime

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Lets you use the Tingle Tuner for use on your adventure

Pokemon Box: Ruby and Sapphire (yes, this is a real game. As far as I know, only a Japanese release date is confirmed. Requires Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire) - Lets you play Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire on a Gamecube, using the GBA as a controller, and store Pokemon on the boxes on the Gamecube.

Also, you can use the GameBoy Advance as a controller for controlling GBA games on the GameBoy Player. It dosen't support many games now, but still, BUY IT! Some games require it if you need it to do certain things, some games require it, and if you use it in certain games, you can unlock certain things that you can't normally acess. And another plus, you can use it for a controller for PokeBox and GB Player.

Customer Review: Get your facts straight
Summary: 5 Stars

Let me explain exactly what this does. By using it to connect your GBA and Gamecube, you can take advantage of special functions in games. It DOES NOT let you play your GBA games on TV. That is impossible, as the link port on the GBA cannot transfer that enourmous amount of information in a reasonable amount of time. There will be many Gamecube games that can use the GBA for many different things. Right now the only game to use it is Sonic the Hedgehog, and it is only used with the Chao Garden. Some people think it is a waste of money because only one game uses it, but there are dozens more games on the way and endless possibilities. For example, in the upcoming game Animal Crossing, you can use the GBA to access a secret island and to make custom texture patterns for various purposes. There are other games planning to do similar things. A new Kirby's Tilt n' Tumble is planned for GC that requires the GBA so you can use a special motion sensor pack that plugs into the GBA. Other examples include private plays in future sports games, or transferring items between corresponding GBA and GC games. Note that these features are not available in current games (other than Sonic) because games have to be specially programmed to take advantage of it.
