Customer Review: Better than I expected

I was pleasantly surprised by this scope's performance; when I bought it I was willing to put up with the dark-green, fuzzy image I had been led to expect from consumer-level night vision gear, but the image is actually bright and sharp. The display does not go off immediately when the power is turned off (the image takes a few minutes to fade out); you can save on battery power by turning it off ahead of time. The depth of field is fairly narrow, so you may have to fiddle with the focus knobs a bit. I bought this scope for observing satellites and meteors (and whatever critters I run into at night), and I think it will work just fine. On a clear night it's possible to see satellites passing by, and in fact I had an easier time seeing Comet Holmes with the scope than I did with my telescope!
