Customer Review: Nikon D5000 replacement batteries
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought a clearance Nikon D5000 camera and it was missing the charger and battery. I found out that the original Nikon and a Duracell replacement battery was over $40.00. I bought these two for $17.00. That was for two, and that includes the shipping. That is less than half price and for two. The capacity of the Nikon original is only 1000 miliamphour, these that I bought are 1800 milliamphour. That means it has more stored juice so you can shoot more pics or video before it dies. and then you have a back up one too.
Some advertising is decieving, 2 batteries 1800 mah
Some will actually be 1800 total of the two. These are true to 1800 each. I fly RC planes and use the LION batteries like this but much larger. I have sophisticated load test capabilities. These tested out at full dischage and when recharged they took 1820 to 1870 mah to fully charge. The capacity rating is spot on, no iffy here.
Great prices and fast shipping.

Absolutly recommend this product and vendor.

Customer Review: Big Power for D40/D40X/D60 Nikons
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased two of these 1800 mAh batteries for the Opteka Grip, replacing the single Nikon factory supplied 1000 mAh D40 battery. Although I have not had the new running system up long enough, I anticipate that the power boost will about triple the capacity of the single stock unit (update): It actually worked out to a bit more than double the time! Note that these EN-EL9 replacements only work in Nikon D40, D40X, and D60 camera bodies! Other styles (part numbers) are available from Nextop for almost any popular Nikon or Canon DSLR.

Manufactured with a made-in-Japan Li-ion cell (probably Toshiba), I expect they are top quality, long lasting alternatives. For a <$20 purchase (for two), I am not worried much about longevity nor power. Even if they exaggerate somewhat, the gain is still in the huge category. I can now set my LCD timeout higher, without worrying about early power fail. Note that these batteries were delivered in 2 business days, fully charged and ready to rock 'n' roll! I like 'em.

Customer Review: Excellent buy
Summary: 5 Stars

I have the D60. Just one of these batteries will far surpass the stock Nikon battery that came with the camera. I now use these as my primary batteries and the Nikon battery as my back up. They hold the charge longer so you get more pictures, and they maintain the charge longer even if you do not use the camera. Due to a surgery I had, I was not able to use my camera for about a month. The Nikon battery was drained very low, but these batteries were still good to go. One was still fully charged and the other (which was in the camera) was about half gone...keep in mind 2 things with this...I had been using the battery prior to the surgery and I forgot to turn my camera off during the entire time I was not able to use it (obviously the auto-off feature kicked in, but the camera itself was still in the "on" position). Yet, this battery still had a higher charge than the Nikon battery that was just sitting there taking up space. A definite must have...and for the price you simply cannot go wrong.

Customer Review: Great product!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love to travel and take lots of pictures...hundreds a day. I can be forgetful and don't always charge my battery. Even with the great stamina of the OEM battery for the Nikon D5000, I didn't want to get left stranded. I was only looking for 1 battery but the deal for 2 extended use batteries was too good to pass up.

Even though I read the good reviews I was still a little skeptical. I decided to test them at a wedding. I took over 500 pictures on max file size in JPEG/RAW and the battery indicator only dropped 1 bar even though I used the flash for most of the shots. (Hope to get a fill-in flash soon.)

I have used and abused these batteries and they haven't let me down. I have not experienced any battery memory loss. With these 2 batteries and my OEM I can take over 2500 pictures before I have to charge again. Saved a lot of money buying these instead of a battery grip.

If anything every happens to them I will buy again.

Customer Review: Better than Standard Nikon Battery
Summary: 5 Stars

Just finished using mine for almost 1 month and have the second battery charged and ready in my camera backpack. My first battery is still going and have only taken about 100 shots. The battery indicator on my Nikon D60 still shows full and the camera has been exposed to temps above 100 degrees, sat idle with the camera "on" by mistake, and I've used the preview photos button hundreds of times to see what I've taken which uses the battery up. Bottom line: With the capacity size of these batteries against the standard battery that comes with the camera, this was a "must have" for me. The price for a 2-pack justifies the cost and longevity of the batteries. Also Amazon delivered my order fast! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
