I've had this set for four months now, and I have not had any problems. I use the retractable charger to update my Ipod Touch almost every day, and I use the wall adapter with the Ipod's original charger several times a week. Both charge as quickly and easily as an apple product, in my experience.
At first, the USB charger did not communicate with my laptop- however, the item came with a small note indicating a troubleshooting tip to address this problem. After a quick tweak on my computer's USB port settings, the item worked just fine.
I have no experience with the car charger, so I can't attest to its usefulness.
When I bought this item, I saw several critical reviews and was concerned that the chargers would not work, or would break after a short period. This has not been my experience. The price, also, is ridiculously low. Normally, a single one of such items would cost 15-20 dollars at a Best Buy at least- and double that at an apple store!
This set has saved me money, spared my desk from needless cord clutter, and allowed me to keep my ipod fully charged at hotels and the airport. It's been a great purchase!

Pros: IT WORKS. Exactly as advertised. It functions fine on all the devices I have tried it on so far (iPod Touch 2nd G, iPod Nano 3rd G, iPhone 3GS). It has a great price, much better than paying around thirty dollars for Apple's proprietary wall-charger. It has a very handy retractable unit for the main cord, pretty helpful for vacations and such.
Cons: Cord is pretty short. The retractor can sometimes be an annoyance in that it is prone to jam itself, which isn't difficult to fix, nor uncommon, just annoying. The construction of the product feels ever so slightly fragile, although no breakage or failure has happened to me yet.
Bottom Line: This is a solid product, it's worth what you pay for (which is next to nothing by the way). If you want to make the smart choice and not fork over all that extra money to Apple. If you want an affordable charger that works, this product is for you.

This is an excellent value. You can charge your iPod/iPhone from a 12 volt lighter plug or with the ac to usb charger. A handy retractable usb cord is included in the kit. Works very well with my iPod Touch. The 12 volt charger keeps my iPod's charge topped up and let's me listen to an entire audiobook without losing power just as the story gets interesting. Both chargers also work well with other devices that charge through the usb port. I charge my bluetooth headset and my extra battery packs with these chargers.Customer Review: Works Fine

when i ordered this item, i had some concerns about item's quality and working conditions but after receiving item i was surprised about how it worked properly. This is a very good working product with every each piece. I can even use the usb converter to charge my other usb powered devices. It's properly working with my ipod touch 4th Gen.
Don't expect original ipod accessory quality but it is still looking good for me especially for a price.

I bought this for my son's iPod touch (1st generation), because I wanted him to be able to recharge it without plugging it into one of our computers. It works great. In fact, since the wall jack portion of the kit accepts anything designed to fit into a usb jack, I've been using it to recharge my iPod shuffle, too (with my own cord). I haven't used the car-charging plug, yet, so I can't vouch for its effectiveness, but we're pleased with the wall plug and the retracting cord.
