I bought this heater during the worst blizzard in Colorado's history last year. I was living at 8500 feet elevation, in a wood frame house with inadequate insulation and inadequate central heat. The room I needed to heat was 16'x16' with 20' high ceilings, windows everywhere, and a loft area near the peaked roof. It did the job, I was amazed! It kept me warm all winter, even when we had 8' of snow outside (literally). I'm now down at a 'lower' elevation (5500 feet), in a smaller place, and it heats up my entire living room, kitchen and dining room really fast. Everyone comments on how cute it is, and how the fire looks so real.
