Great product for home use or very small office. I needed less than 8 ports, so this is the product I was looking for. It was easy to 'install', not that there is really any installation needed, just plug everything in. It's small, so it'll fit almost any where. Came with equipment to mount, but did not use it. At first switch didn't want to recognize all devices hooked up to it but after about 30 minutes of trial and error it just started working. Its a good switch especially for gaming on PS3's. The only thing I wish it had built in was wireless, then I would be able to get rid of my router which is only 10/100. This switch is 10/100/1000 for faster Internet speeds.Customer Review: Works well

I have had no trouble with this switch. Other reviews suggested some major issues, especially when using two together. I think that maybe there were runs of defective products, or people with miswired networks? Not sure. Have had no issues, does not run hot, even after transferring large (gigabytes) amounts of data, still fairly cool to the touch.Customer Review: Fantastic

This is an amazing little switch. I have always loved Netgears smaller line of Gigabit switches for their quality metal construction and small size. I have this switch installed into the media panel of my home where space is very limited. It functions perfectly. Simple, durable and performs very, very well. Took 20 seconds to set up. Netgear states that their ProSafe line comes with a lifetime warranty (when used properly), an added bonus. Product runs warm, but never gets close to being hot. Netgear ProSafe Gigabit is a "must buy" for anyone in need of a gig-switch.
