I needed to connect a couple of PCs in my home office into one wall outlet, this sure did the trick. Simple, easy to connect, just power it up, connect the cables and you are off and running. It works so well I'm buying another one for connecting my media systems together (Blu-Ray player, Plasma TV and Gaming console). Very small footprint, no noticeable heat generated, dark enough color to blend into the background. Highly recommend it...Customer Review: Still the best cheap desktop switches

Netgear's line of metal switches and hubs has always been an affordable, dependable product. I am glad to see that they haven't abandoned this format in favor of the plastic so many other companies are using.
I bought a couple of these for work when a group decided they needed to cram three conference rooms full of people on short notice. Netgear was the only product I trusted to work, and they didn't let me down.

There is nothing negative that I can find to say about this switch. It is as easy as pie (except rhubarb) to set up. I just plugged in the power cable to crank it up. Next I connected the cable from my router. I then connected my PC to the switch and it worked perfectly. Next I connected a cable that runs out to another builing. I went out to the other building and the PC out there worked as expected. Excellent product.Customer Review: Exactly what I wanted

This is a good, solid network switch. The all metal enclosure gives it a sturdy feel. I have this in my living room, replacing an older 100MB switch. This one looks much better among that entertainment center equipment. I have had no issues with it. I have not done extensive speed tests and things like other reviewers have, but I am very please with this switch in the manner that I am using it.Customer Review: Great desktop gigabit switch

If you are looking for a simple, non-managed gigabit switch, this is the one to buy. After using several of them at work and setting them up for friends, I can say that they are great, reliable switches. I finally bought one for myself to avoid having to run separate cables for my xbox, ps3 and media center (gigabit streaming!) Plug and play operation, works exactly as you would expect.
