Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of NETGEAR FS105NA Switch 5Port MetalCustomer Review: Plug and Play! Summary: 5 Stars
About as easy as it gets. Just plug your cable modem/router into this switch and you are good to go, just plug whatever has an ethernet jack into this thing and you'll be set! I used this to hook up my PS3 and Xbox360 off one of those ethernet powerlines and it has been working great. I'm sure it will work great for you all. It is also a very small and condensed unit and is pretty easy to hide.
Customer Review: Great switch Summary: 5 Stars
Desired a small switch to share a single ethernet connection to multiple items in my entertainment center (TV, BluRay, Sat TV box etc). This is a nice compact switch that easily mounted on the back of the cabinet and allowed the single internet cat5 cable running in the wall to my router, to be shared on multiple devices. Plugged in power, line to network and then to devices all was needed.
Customer Review: Plug it in and go Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased two of these to use in my bedrooms which have computers and video streaming devices but only one ethernet port in each room. I just plugged these switches in per the very simple instructions using CAT5 twisted pair cables (no need for "straight through" cables) and watched them go to work. That was about three months ago and they've been working flawlessly since then.
Customer Review: Reliable switch Summary: 5 Stars
Sturdy construction in an unobstrusive yet eye-catching package, the FS105 is an excellent workhorse! I have been using one for the past 1 1/2 years without a hitch. Setup is easy and quick so there is very little hassle and headaches involved.Only one problem is that it tends to run rather warm so I elevate the switch on 2 jenga blocks to allow for better heat dissipation.
Customer Review: Does the job. Using with PS3/Xbox360 Summary: 5 Stars
I got sick and tired of the flaky wireless connection for my PS3 and Xbox 360. I don't have a hardwire ethernet connection in the game room so I bought an Actiontec Powerlink ethernet connection twin pack..(runs ethernet over your home's power lines). Anyway...I have a power link module, PS3, and Xbox360 connected to the Netgear FS105 Switch and everything works perfectly.
