Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of NETGEAR FS105NA Switch 5Port MetalCustomer Review: Small Switch Big Performance Summary: 5 Stars
Although this says its five ports, its not really. One port is taken up with your internet link, so you can attach four additional items to this. This switch comes with a power supply so you need a plug near by to use it. It worked right out of the box without needing to install any software. I have a Windows 7 laptop and a Sony BluRay player attached to it. I feel I have definitely gotten my money's worth. Netgear makes a good quality product.
Customer Review: Netgear FS105 Switch Summary: 5 Stars
The switch shipped and arrived quickly. I'm using it as a hub, even though it is a switch, with a DSL connection in, and multiple ethernet connections out. One of them goes into my Netgear firewall/router appliance. All machines behind the firewall/router work just as well as they did before I installed the switch between the DSL modem and the router. Installation was a piece of cake. The firmware seems to work as advertised.
Customer Review: Small but powerful Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking to expand the two ports on my wireless bridge (Netgear WNHDE111) to connect my LG Bluray player, DirecTV HD-DVR, and my XBox 360. This switch works great! I'm easily able to stream Netflix in HD, download On-Demand movies onto my DVR, and play online games on my XBox.
This was a purchase that worked way better than I imagined it would. Takes up very little space and the speed replication is awesome.
Customer Review: Just works - like it should be Summary: 5 Stars
I love these little blue netgear switches. I've used them at various places for years and I've never had a problem with anything.
How much easier can it get than this:
1. You plug in the power cable
2. Plug in the ethernet cables of devices you want to connect.
Done. Everything just works, nothing to configure, and I haven't had one ever break (using 3 total as of 5 years ago).
Customer Review: Excellent Ethernet Switch Summary: 5 Stars
Easy to use...easy to install...no fuss, no muss. Just connect to your router and away you go. However, connection speeds will be good, not great, especially if you have Fios, then I would to another product will greater speeds. I use this ethernet switch for my Blue-Ray player and my Plasma TV for firmware updates, so this does the job good enough and for the price of $[...] rebate I just could not refuse!
