I found the set up easy and was using it to scan documents within an hour. Since I have Vista, I carefully followed instructions and downloaded the latest installation software. The OCR software is impressive. The scanner works better than I expected after reading some of the reviews. My receipts often have ragged tops and bottoms so I scanned them sideways or bottom first depending on which had the best edge. The software almost always turned the receipt the right direction. Corrections to dates and amounts were rarely required but easy to do. It was very satifying to scan documents and then shred them. I no longer feel like I'm drowning in paper!Customer Review: Amazing

Ok..I was as skeptical as the rest of you regarding horrible reviews. However, I chose to try it anyway, and I'm so glad I did. I received the items yesterday. Read the instructions and downloaded the software. I have Windows XP and the company website states there is a new upgrade (3.1) that handles service packs with XP and their related problems. I was careful and did everything as the instructions stated. I had to calibrate the scanner twice, but low and behold, this thing is AWESOME. I did over 60 receipts in less than an hour, with my kid feeding them through the scanner. Highly recommend.Customer Review: Awesome sanner and software

I purchased this product while coming home from a business trip. The scanner is fast, and the software does exactly what it is advertised to do. If you have a need to organize a bundle of papers and have them instantly accessible, this is the solution for you! I have only found one shortcoming, and I believe that Neat Receipts is working on it. Sometimes when it starts up, it doesn't find the database, and the software has to be re-started. I consider this to be a minor inconvenience given the utility of the combination, and I'm willing to overlook it to give this product 5 stars! I'm impressed!Customer Review: ?

We are very pleased with our product. We are now able to keep everything in order and it is logged into our memory bank and we do not have to worry about losing receipts and other important data. We have freed up time in many areas and that gives us more time for ourselves knowing that the paper work is not going to pile up. I would recommend the product to anyone. If ever you have been frustrated by not being able to get paid for all your expenses on a business trip before you get back to the office (only to get paid days or weeks later), or just by not being able to scan "on the go", this is the absolute best device for YOU!!! Download directly to your laptop. You will not be disappointed---it scans little receipts to big 8 x 11 sheets, and the sky is the limit on what this little device can deliver for you. Best new thing out on the market in a while!!!
