This stuff didnt get out the smell, left my light beige carpet with an orange cast, and the cat keeps peeing in the exact same spot, even though I have poured the ENTIRE bottle over the spot in the matter of a week (blocked him from accessing it during the week so that I can be sure he doesn't re-soil while it's drying). I treated that dang spot three times, saturating (heck, over-saturating) each time just to be sure he doesn't re-soil. No such luck. The minute I unblocked the area he peed there again.
This stuff has an unpleasant smell to begin with, and even after that whole bottle was wasted, it still smelled strongly of pee. I have a big black light which I used to see if he had peed anywhere else around the area, thinking it surely had to be the reason it still smelled. Of course, there was no other urine stains to be found. Save your money and try something else!

I was very hopeful for this product. Being that the reviews are so mixed, I was hoping that I would be one of the "lucky" ones to find that the product worked well. I followed the directions and used my black light to locate the dirty spots. I had waited until it was dark and then turned off all of the lights so that I could have optimum darkness to be able to see the spots with the included black light. I had no problem finding the spots and sprayed them liberally as directed. I noticed a pleasant smell right away. However, a couple of hours later, the room absolutely reeked! The smell was worse than the previous ammonia smell. I ended up having to clean the carpet in the room to get rid of the smell. I have since invested in a SpotBot carpet cleaner and make my own cleaner using vinegar, water, and a few drops of dish soap. A much better use of my time and investment.Customer Review: save your money

Save your money and try something else. i just put new carpet in my house and wanted to give this a try because i have a dog that gets alittle excited and starts to go without even realizing it. so after it finally shows up i turn on the black light and see if he has made any messes, by the way your better off using the black light at night when you can shut all the lights off and have it totally dark, then you will see the urine easily and dont have to be right on top of it, anyway he had one area on the carpet where he urinated so i sprayed some urine gone on like the directions said. well i ended up using the whole bottle on this one little spot and you can still see it with the black light. I have to admit that it doesnt smell like urine so i guess that it gets rid of the oder but is still just as noticable with the black light.Customer Review: SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

I bought urine gone just cuase I am a skeptic. At the same time I also bought a 32 oz bottle of kids and pets. Once I got the batteries in the cheap black light. I couldn't see anything until it was night and all the lights were shut off. I saturated the spots with urine gone and they are still there!! I was extremely disappointed but I decided to use the kids and pets I saturated the area and used a little scrub brush scrubbed a few times and they stain was gone under the black light!! IT was amazing so save yourself some money go buy a decent black light and kids and pets it [...] and it actually works its available on amazon as well!!Customer Review: This Product Does NOT WORK

There are two cats in my household, one or both of them decided to pee on my suitcase when I returned from a trip and had not put everything away yet. I broke down and went to get Urine Gone. I have thrown away bathroom rugs and random other things that they decide to pee on, because there is usually no hope once male cat urine is on something. I splurged the $20 for this product, doused my suitcase with it, let it dry...still stunk of cat pee. I doused it a second time....let it dry...STILL DISGUSTING CAT PEE. This product did absolutely nothing. Glad I spent that $20. I suggest that you SAVE YOUR MONEY.
