Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of NHJ Portable Television Watch Wearable 1.5" LCD TV WristwatchCustomer Review: Very Cool Gadget Summary: 4 Stars
Just got this yesterday and it really is cool. Reception here where i'm vacationing isn't the greatest as the nearest station is 20 miles away but can get a 'decent' picture noneoftheless. The pixels are very small so the scrolling words on the bottom on the news stations are very clear and you could even read them most of the time and if they were too small you could get a magnifying glass and probably read them.
One hour battery life isn't the greatest but the docking station holds 4 AA batteries for 3 hours viewing.
You must use the headphones as no built in speaker and the headphones act as the antenna so if you lose them you will have to get another one (I emailed the company and asked them if they are easily replaced - they haven't responded yet).
I actually live in San Francisco so expect great reception there (I am in Michigan right now) so will do another review to let you know how it is there next week when I fly back.
The case isn't all that great looking as it could have had a nicer design but it does the job. This is probably the coolest gadget of 2004 - highly recommended if you live close to stations ; )
Customer Review: The Best and...ONLY TV Watch? Summary: 4 Stars
I'm up and down with this thing, but it's still the best one out there. It charges via a docking station that plugs into an outlet. That's a 90-minute charge for one hour of viewing. That mini docking station can also be battery-fed and connected to the watch to make for a much longer viewing experience.
It fits just like a normal watch and takes up just as much space. The headphones double as the UHF/VHF antennae, so if you hate those two little buttons that keep falling out of your ears as much as I do, you're kind of out of luck in trying to use your ultra-cool stereo headsets. Until I figure out what to do next, I just fit the buttons inside the headset cups and it works fine.
The reception and the headpieces keep the elusive fifth star from making it's appearance here. If you think you're going to watch your favorite shows in a basement or on the train, forget it. Otherwise all local channels show up sweetly and crisply with only the most minor intermittent fluctuations.
Customer Review: NHJ Portable Wristwatch TV Summary: 4 Stars
This wristwatch TV is a very attractive product but I doubt whether anybody would actually wear it on wrist as it is bigger than any other wrist watches available in the market.Unfortunately the TV reception standard used is NTSC(my country uses PAL) and hence the unit is unable to receive colours and sound.I would like to know whether anybody could suggest an NTSC to PAL converter which would enable the TV to receive colours and sound. My attempts to collect some technical information through the technical support team failed also falied as my emails bounce backed from the given tech team's Id.
Customer Review: Very good product. Summary: 4 Stars
Wonderful to watch while I go in the bus or car. Between a class and another one, in a rest or while one waits to be taken care of in some place. Wonderful not to lose its favorite programs.
Customer Review: To cute to pass up! Summary: 4 Stars
It is a cute little gadget, not always a super picture. BUT when it is tuned in, it is awesome for being so small.
