When I first received the scale it did not work properly. Called the provider and he was able to help right away. I opted to use the power adapter and did not put batteries in the scale. Turns out the power adaptor was defective. Batteries IN. Worked like a charm. New adapter was sent right away. I received it within the next 2 days. Great Support. A toy? Amazon classified this as a toy, very funny. I have to admit we sometime use it as a toy to weigh our toddlers, and they love it!
This an excellent digital postal scale, very durable, easy to switch units and most important, very accurate.
Pretty happy with it, highly recommended to anyone who need a decent postal scale or need to monitor kids weight (less than 55lb though).

* has handy tare and hold buttons.

* seems pretty durable
* can switch between pounds, ounces, or metric very easily

This machine is great. I've only had it half a day, but unpacked it, plugged it in (with provided adaptor) and started posting things on eBay. It is very easy to work, but the instructions are clear and easy to understand if you need them. Some nice functions like the optional auto-off, choice of weighing units and the tare feature. The only trouble I had was getting it out of the box, it was packed so well!Customer Review: Excellent scale

My wife and I use this scale all the time to make homemade soap and sausage, we also use it to weigh packages for shipping. Being able to detach the monitor from the scale is a great feature when weighing larger items. We did not purchase the AC adapter. The batteries seem to hold up very well in this scale so i'm glad that we did'nt spend the extra money. In my opinion for the money this scale is excellent!
