This is a basic no frills scale (hence the sub-$20 price tag) that happens to work exceptionally well. I am using it to customize the weight and balance of my tennis rackets and it has exceeded my expectations at this point. Seems fairly well made. Set up was a snap and so far, the readings appear to be dead-on. I read a few of the negative reviews, which don't really resonate with me. I would highly recommend this product for anyone in need of an inexpensive reliable scale to handle a number of jobs. I work in a professional pastry kitchen, and I have gone through so many scales with the rough daily use that I put them through, and because I can't afford to shell out the $100's for a high quality scale. I bought this scale 6 months ago and it is still going strong. It stands up to the daily beating that I give it, and the drive to and from work everyday. It is light-weight, perfect for large or small scale recipes, and convenient for weighing full sheets of batter because of the detachable face. And it was super cheap! Ordered this From Amazon and was shipped same day by PC-Guru for substantially lower than listed above. The unit is very easy to use and works great! I bought it to weigh pups in order to monitor weight gain. Looking it over feature wise I couldn't think of anything I would do differently, very well designed. I use a box to put pups into to weigh. when you turn on unit with box on it, it well automatically Zero the weight of the box out, no need to even press the zero button. someone did there homework in designing this. Worth a lot more than the Thirty some dollars I paid.Customer Review: Great scale

When my husband started selling some of his old hobby items we needed a scale to weigh boxes as they were being prepped and shipped. I was also looking for a scale to weigh letters being mailed to family in another state. This scale does both very well. It's easy to read and easy to operate. I like the range this scale can go between. From 1 ounce to 55 pounds it covers a lot. You can also change the units; ounces for letters, pounds for packages, and a few more. We've used it several times already and it's worked great every time. Keep in mind that it doesn't come with a plug.Customer Review: Easy to Use, Works Great

Okay, the bad thing.... how do you get the AC power adapter?? I can't seem to find it for sale but.... the batteries last forever!!! So, my main concern about power has been laid to rest.
The front part with the screen comes off, attached with a cord to the scale. You can then put heavy/large boxes on it and read it with ease! It is sensitive too, so small items like regular letters can be metered too!
I am very happy I bought this item.....just would like the option to buy a power cord to plug in. But...can't have everything, now can we?
