After researching what modems were compatible with Comcast, I picked this one. I decided to buy rather than rent from the cable company. It came, I took it out of the box, hooked it up and after a rather long call with Comcast (not the modem's fault) everything was up and running. Added an airport extreme, and my house is now wireless with a very fast connection. Totally satisfied with this product, have had it for about 6 weeks with ZERO problems/issues.
