Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Motorola S9-HD Headset with D650 iPod Adapter (Gloss Black)Customer Review: Best Sound in Headphones I've found! Summary: 5 Stars
The Sound in the MotoRokr S9-HD are by far the best sounding headphones I've ever had. After reading the average reviews of these headphones, I purchased them not expecting a lot, mainly just purchased them for their bluetooth technology. I needed something to use on my workouts so I didn't have that darn wire bouncing all over the place! The sound form these headphones is comparable (if not, better) than my Bose Triport Over-The-Ear Headphones, and having these be wireless knocks the bulky Bose headphones out of the park! No, I didn't wear my Bose headphones working out, but I'm just using them as a point of reference in sound quality.
Once I put these on, I couldn't believe how comfortable and lightweight they were. Then after I hooked them up to my First Generation iPod Nano with the included adapter, I decided to play my favorite track. I could not believe the quality of the sound! Some people may find it to have a bit too much bass, but these come with sound boosting technology which can be toggled on/off. To do so, just hold down the track forward button on the right ear until you hear a few beeps, and the bass is reduced/improved! These even come with the ability to simultaneously hook up to your phone and your iPod (with the adapter) so you can listen to music, and answer phone calls (for those without the iPhone)! I currently do not have a need for this since all my music is on my iPhone 3G - which paired no problem. I did try it with my iPhone and iPod at the same time and it actually worked! I am astonished that there aren't better reveiws for these headphones because I truly believe they are 1000 times better than the standard Apple iPod/iPhone headphones, and even better than my Bose headphones.
I currently use these headphones for my morning run and workout before work with my first generation iPod Nano and/or my iPhone 3G (not iPhone 3GS). I absolutely love these, and couldn't imagine a better design for comfort, sound, and weight. They're perfect, dont bounce, stay on tight (but not too tight). They fit perfectly in my ears, and for those who have have larger/smaller ears, additional earbuds in smaller/larger sizes are included.
I'm not entirely sure about the battery life, but I'm not expecting a lot from it after reading the reviews, however, if they disproved the reviews I read about the sound quality, I could be pleasantly surprised. I could be just a pessimistic person, but I am truly amazed at the sound quality and comfort of these headphones.
